All About Paris is about getting lost exploring the city and what happens when you step through a different door.

As with all our recent songs, made during lockdown, it features a range of wonderful guests supporting Anne Brugiere's lead vocals. On All About Paris, we have Merlin Smith on acoustic guitar, his first outing with the French Pop Dream. We saw Merlin busking ina town square, playing like Johnny Marr meeting Chet Atkins. We gave him a pound and asked him to play for us and you can hear the result - an elegant, strummy bed of acoustic guitars that (people say) recalls Kirsty McColl's lush version of The Kinks' Days.

All About Paris was recorded in London and Paris; mixed at Tambourine Studios in Malmo (home of the great records by The Cardigans) by Joar Sylvan; and mastered back in England by Julian Lowe.

THE FRENCH POP DREAM- Now Would Be A Good Time (single)

We were asked to produce the theme for a new, upcoming American-produced TV show, called 'L'Amour or Less. The show is about a series of dates between ex-pat Americans in Paris and French people - some funny, some bizarre, some romantic. This is the first (and only) French Pop Dream song in French and it is only about a minute-long.

The World Is Happening Somewhere

Lush, warm and evocative,The French Pop Dream's reading of Bing Crosby's 1951 Christmas classic 'Silver Bells (Christmas Time in the City)' was recorded in London and Paris,  with Anne Brugiere's soft-voiced longing supported by French accordions and an English brass band. 

It has been played on BBC Radio 2 in the run-up to Christmas in both 2015 and 2016. This remastered version, even more lush and luscious, was produced by Christian Wright at Abbey Road, who has worked on hits by Blur, Eliza Doolittle and Keane.

The song was written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans and is published by Sony/ATV.
