This song should take you on a rollercoaster of emotions as it contains a hopefully infectious mix of styles and sounds. A few quieter moments, a little touch of tango, some funky grooves and much more. It was a lot of fun working on this track and I hope you can feel it. just fun

The initial melody could be famous, but I don't know who (where and when) composed it. It was the melody of the carillon (in the picture) that some friends gave to my daughter, who was just born. We sung (adding words) and played it for years, even and especially after the music box broke, not to forget it. 
The piece is dedicated to her, who is now 18. The melody of the music box is followed by some (very posed) arias representing the successive stages of her life, childhood and adolescence. The carillon's melody resumes at the end: because I am sure she still hears it, deep down, and that it accompanies her as life goes on.

My daughter's carillon (song for her 18th birthday) *

I am blessed to have a river that flows behind our home.  Sometimes the river is raging, sometimes it flows gently.  But it never disappoints.  The sounds, textures, ripples, patterns, colors and reflections tell a story of life, work, play and the earth's creation. Forces so greater than me, that all I can imagine as I sit at the edge while wiggling my toes in the cold clear water, did I forget to turn off the stove?  Thank you for listening!
