Local Selector Series 01 - Isora

Second episode of our local selector series sees us invite manu_facturer for 30min of 150-170bpm madness.

Sean started making a name for himself in the middle of 2019 after being involved in Glasgow’s after-party scene.  Since getting into DJing Sean quickly got into producing, with releases now Tek-no Prisoners, Toxic Warm-up Society, Tnnlsystm and Still Distant Records.

As of more recent times he has opened for the likes of Nico Moreno and TRYM at ACLPs SWG3 parties alongside starting his own industrial techno label A.S.D.R with 3SBAT and Kalopsia, who you can see on the 26th of February in Stereo.

For the third episode we invited Hyperdome Records head honcho, DJ Bastard for 30 minutes of rapid electro and ghetto tech. 

Alongside Isora who we previously had on the series, the two have been making a name for themselves and their label, Hyperdome throughout the Glasgow scene with multiple events and releases that focus on electro, ghetto and everything of that nature. Within the next few months they are moving to London to continue to grow their brand and tear up a few clubs whilst they are at it. 

You can catch DJ Bastard playing b2b with Isora at Stereo on the 24th of March where they will be joined by Mi$$ Co$mix and Kush Jones

Cami is a Colombia based DJ, resident and head of the collective and movement of Bogota UNDERZONE. Inspired by the 90's and euro dance that pretend to liberate the body and the raver, understanding body, heart and music as one.

FRENETIK084 is a trancey hour long journey from Arman John. Arman John is a german/iranian producer based in Hanover. With releases on labels like Obscuur, COUP, Ismus, Innergate and his own label Phased Records he already made his footprint into the techno & trance scene. His sound defines a big variety of styles. From a harder rave orientated sound to a more groovy and funky feeling combined with euro dance influenced vibes over to a vocal heavy and more trancy sound with a fast pace. Nevertheless, he is able to adapt and read the situation. As an acidhead his productions are highly influenced by the 303 which fits perfectly with his love for bouncy baselines, catchy vocals and trancy influenced synths. His sets consist of different styles merged in one cohesive journey that takes you to another place. Get ready to get sweaty.

Next up on our Local Selector Series is Kairogen. Her name Kairogen stems from the combination of two words: 'Kairos,’ the Greek meaning for 'the right moment' and 'gen,' meaning to generate or create. Waiting for the right moment has long been a common theme in her creative journey, having initially stemmed from her time in art school, where, through creating her own compositions to accompany her own installations and paintings, she was able to explore the connection between what can be seen and what can be heard, which in turn further deepened her fascination with electronic music as an art form. 

This then led to frequent visits to Glasgow, mainly to attend the revered Sub Club, a cultural institution of the city, where she would later find herself working. Making the transition from the dance floor to the bar was something that allowed her to take a step back from the smoke and the strobes and gave her the opportunity to gain a broader perspective on how a club night unfolds. Being able to see how both respected residents and esteemed guests can open a room, build tension, and switch energy while keeping one eye on how dancers react and interact with what is around them served as the key to shaping the fundamentals that have stuck with her on her path to date. Having fully immersed herself in this type of environment, the next gradual step was to channel her own experiences into DJing. Creating and curating her own radio show 'Space-Time' gave her the ideal platform to showcase some of the sounds she is drawn to, based around blissful ambient and hazy downtempo, while maintaining the same cerebral depth when flowing through both BPMs and genres. 

Along with this, releases on both Soma and Space Textures demonstrated her ever-evolving production skills to a wider audience. It’s easy to see why, soon after, opportunities to play out presented themselves, which she has since seized with both hands. Initial warm-up slots at illustrious nights at Sub Club and Pressure turned heads and elevated her demand as a selector—key moments since vary from handing over to Avalon Emerson to all-night-long sets in her native city, from delivering soaring, peak-time techno at Return to Mono, where she is now a resident, to serving glitchy, sci-fi-infused 'IDM' in Bristol at a Headset party—the list continues to grow. On the mix front, stellar contributions to outlets such as MNMT and Slam Radio, alongside her and Niamh Jobson’s monthly 'Dub Series' broadcast, have been well-received and further cement her reputation as one to watch. Developing her own tastes and understanding through an ever-expanding wealth of first-hand experience, not just through DJing, but also through her current freelancing in areas such as lighting, sound and label artwork, has been influential in crafting her own unique soundscape.

Kairogen’s strength lies in her own versatility, preferring to play what feels right for the moment while remaining willing to adapt to any given situation. Not limited by the constraints of genre, she has the ability to flow between the conventional and unconventional, where you may just be as likely to hear a soulful, floor-focused Dave Angel cut from thirty years ago as you are to hear the latest avant-garde offering from Delsin Records. This open-minded approach, contrasted with her single-minded belief in exploring the deepest, dreamiest corners of each record she plays, creates a musical narrative that needs to be heard to be believed.

Frenetik 101 is from Manchester based DJ, Ben Moulson aka April who has firmly rooted himself in the northern scene with his hyperactive crate digging habits and diversity in sound. Whether it the 10pm ambient hour, or the 6am sweat box his record bag will answer the call.

April’s flexibility behind the decks has comfortably positioned him on an array of lineups across the North of England + beyond. With appearances at firm favourites such as Meat Free, The Warehouse Project, Wire Presents, Foundry, Tiriba & more.

Outside of DJing, April co-pilots Chorus, a local party focussed on collaboration and ‘diversifying your sonic palate’. What started as a techno focussed party now acts as a petri-dish for experimentation that evolves in synergy with Aprils flavours. Adding to the output, April recently launched a vinyl only jungle night, with local selector Esmé, where their attention focuses on the more soulful side of the sound, championing legends of the scene alongside up and coming talent.

Kicking off 2025 for us is Switzerland and Berlin Resident, DJ Sun. With musician parents, the connection to music has always been present. His journey began when he discovered the world of illegals rave parties in 2015 where electronic music reigned supreme. Fascinated by their organization, DJ Sun quickly decided to venture into organizing his own illegals raves, which led to the founding of the OTIUM collective in 2018. Over time, he honed his DJ skills, specializing in old-school techno infused with influences from hip hop, jazz, and house.

Beyond his DJ performances, he has also delved into VJing projects, leveraging his videography skills. For the past four years, he has been creating his own compositions to add a more personal touch to his DJ sets. The creation of his own label, OTIUM Records, in collaboration with his best friend Rødig, has been one of the highlights of his artistic journey. DJ Sun’s universe stands out with a commitment to quality over quantity,
focusing on creating his first EP in 2024 that will reflect an authentic artistic approach. Looking ahead, DJ Sun’s project aims to create an A/V show entirely controlled by machines on stage. This complementary project is more festival-oriented, providing a more «touring» aspect compared to the clubbing/
rave element of a DJ set.

E.DN has become one of the key voices in the Scottish techno scene in recent years, with releases on respected  labels like Soma Records, Isarn, Grab the Groove, and Abstraction. His music has gained support from the likes of DVS1, Daria Kolosova, Parallx, Grace Dahl, Ruiz OCS1, Imogen, Volvox and more. 


He has played venues around Scotland and internationally in established clubs such as Sub Club, PRST, Sneaky Pete’s, Wigwam, The Arches and has hit the Scottish festival circuit for Terminal V & PLTFRM.


Taking influence from his indigenous Latin heritage E.DN’s tracks have a deep focus on groove, movement & drive.
