Drifting - a movement with no certain direction… As a drifter you may move with ease and a calm mind, or you may find yourself on a mystical journey into the unknown, you’re never quite sure... These feelings of uncertainty have inspired our dear friend Kyle, aka @captures, when he began working on this EP three years ago. At that time his journeys had drawn him to Berlin where he found himself searching for a community to resonate with. With a bit of drifters fortune, we found each other here and there as the events and parties around Voodoohop and UCR brought him a sense of home: „Everyone seemed like wild characters in a play on some type of exotic underground that created a narrative free from boundaries. I loved the psychedelic atmosphere those days combined with electronic and world music sounds. Those experiences contributed a lot to this album and to who I am today.“

We’re pleased that our communities have provided inspiration that has led us to work with Captures on releasing this beautiful soundtrack. A soundtrack for all the drifters out there.

May this EP be seen as a dedication to not only the weightless feeling of floating but also to carry confidence and optimism on our paths to explore the great unknown. As Confucius said, „The journey is the destination“.

Pássaro present their second release “Antes de existir o Mundo” (Before the world existed): five original tracks plus two remixes by Shika Shika co-founder El Búho and Brazilian underground legend Psilosamples. “Antes de Existir o mundo” is a slow and sweet musical trip inspired by nature, landscapes and birdsongs from Brazil. In this album, produced over the last three years, Pássaro speak about the last instant before the world came into existence, the creation of the first life and the first sounds.

Pássaro is a trio from Brazil composed by Irû Waves, Ygor Marotta & Tomás Xavier. They have been exploring this collective way of composing music together since 2019, inspired by hundreds of jam sessions and by the psychedelic landscapes of Brazil’s nature.

[Woman with a Balance]

Simulacrum is a deeply reflective project that explores the human experience in the mid-2020s, focusing on our increasingly intertwined relationship with technology and AI. It touches on themes of existence in a high-tech world, the challenges of modern life, and the feeling of being unable to unplug from our digital realities. The album balances both observational and cinematic tones, with a sci-fi, dystopian flavor that doesn’t take a clear stance on whether AI is positive or negative but rather dives into the complexity of our current era.
Musically, Simulacrum blends elements of electronic, ambient, and hip-hop influences, evolving from Frenic’s earlier chilled, lo-fi sound. Each track contributes to a cohesive narrative, with some bringing a Bristol trip-hop throwback vibe and others incorporating modern dystopian sound design. Across the album, there’s a sense of tension between connectivity and isolation, creative expression, and technological dependence.
Overall, Simulacrum is both a personal reflection on Frenic’s evolving sound and Yellatones commentary on what it feels like to be human in this era of technological complexity.

Mana Chaninqa is my favourite track on the Album and i have been wanting to do an edit for a while now, this is the first i have ever been nervous to post something but i hope i have added to the music and not taken anything away.

Our latest compilation features some of our old and new friends which joined the mission to trespass geographical and cultural borders, and to create a multifaceted community united in the common love for music. Our ‘Sonorities’ travel slow, but they travel far. Organic and joyful sounds reminding of Latin America and of their native people are flanked on the one side by instruments and motives coming from the East, on the other side there are urban trippy rhythms. Ecstatic dancing beats travel alongside ethereal and mesmerizing melodies. Such diversity is not only meant to present the variety of sounds which these great artists can exhibit, but also to represent the diversities among human beings which are here united in one heterogeneous and harmonious complex, as it’s the world we envision - a whole symbiotical organism...
