London based Swedish producer, DJ and song writer Blende returns to Eskimo Recordings with Carli's remix of ‘Do You Remember?’. The track features Mickael Karkousse, frontman of Belgian electro-rock stars GOOSE. On his remix of ‘Do You Remember?’ Carli (Studio Barnhus, Off The Meds) perfectly updates the energetic 90s rave sound for the clubs of today.

For over twenty years now Belgium's Eskimo Recordings have discovered and nurtured some of the most loved names in dance music, releasing timeless albums from artists such as Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas, Satin Jackets and Aeroplane that have straddled the divide between electronica, Balearic house and leftfield pop. 'Eskimo Recordings presents The Remixes' then is a snapshot of the label's recent adventures in clubland, a 24 track tour of the underground that takes in everything from the gauzy breakbeats of Betonkust's remix of Transistorcake to the endless euphoria of Locked Groove's rework of Horixon & Robert Owens' Brighter Day and Chaim & Ozart's mesmerising take on Franz Matthews and Local Suicide's Tutan Jamon.

A globe-trotting compilation, 'Eskimo Recordings presents The Remixes' sums up the eclectic and unceasingly curious approach of the label and its selector-in-chief, Captain E. This is the sound of dark Berlin basements, festivals in Mexico City, boat parties in the Adriatic and rooftop parties in Tel Aviv, music that transcends time and place like Adam Port's remix of NTEIBINT that fuses together pulsing, staccato electronics with steel drums, or Red Axes' remix of Moscoman's Fernandez, a psychedelic trip through the Middle East's vibrant club scene.

Featuring some of the biggest names in electronic music such as Moscoman, Ewan Pearson and Prins Thomas, the compilation also features two brand new exclusive tracks in the shape of the heavy, hypnotic groove of Turkish producer Dogu Civicik's remix of Rey & Kjavik's Akya and Carli (Off The Meds, Studio Barnhus) his transformation transformation of Blende's Do you Remember? into a relentlessly ravey electro number.

Over two decades on from the legendary parties at the Eskimo Fabriek in Ghent that gave the label its name, Eskimo Recordings' insatiable appetite for new electronic music remains unabated and the wild spirit and ambition to keep pushing boundaries, that first put the Belgium label on the map, still shines as bright as ever.

Kings Of The Rollers Vol 1 - Serum & Carasel

Undefined drops his debut EP on Soul Deep Digital.  The EP 2 diverse tracks that show off his talent for pulling together sounds to create the perfect soundscape.  The Title track, "Confessions", starts out with what sounds like a reverse pad sound, some light ticking drums, and some epic vocals that help set the mood.  At the drop, a deep sub bassline and some distorted mid bass drop in and help push the track to the next level of vibes.  "Enemy", takes a little edgier approach to things.  The drums set the back drop and chug along, as the atmospherics chime away in the background.  The vocals in the tune ooze with effects that drip over the underlying sub bassline to create pure bliss for the listener.  Undefined is definitely one to watch!!

Sunshine Family, here's our next edition in collaboration with our good friends from #Freshlist. In 2016 we joined forces with the Freshlist crew to co-host an event and now we are doing it again! 

We are being hosted by Mt. Adams Pavilion for this one, expect great music, sunshine, love & laughter with a stellar line up including;

-- Housecat 154

Housecat 154 is the alternate persona of DJ, MC and producer Firecat 451. Most party goers know that Firecat 451's dominant style is Drum & Bass as well as dubstep - BUT - that's not how the story began.

In the beginning there was house, it was his house and his house music. In the early part of his DJ career this Housecat had house music residencies at major night clubs, bars and boiler room styled ultra-lounges. 

Those early times consisted of groovy house and driving electro performances at underground warehouse parties, festivals and shows around the country. Now the cat is out of the bag (and back in the mix) as Firecat 451 revives the 4/4 vibe under the additional moniker of Housecat 154!


-- Bit Flip

Since becoming involved with the dance music scene Bit Flip has made it a point to bring something new and fresh to the table with every performance. Originally focused on breaks and house his style can branch into all realms. No matter what genre or tempo there is one main theme - keep the dancefloor moving.

Like all Asgardians, Thor is not truly immortal but relies upon periodic consumption of the Golden Apples of Idunn to sustain his lifespan, which to date has lasted many millennia. Being the son of Odin and the elder goddess Gaea, the character is physically the strongest of the Norse gods, and has performed such feats as almost lifting the entire World Serpent (stated to encircle the Earth), and hurling the Odinsword, an enormous mystical blade of incalculable weight, through a Celestial.  As the Norse god of Thunder, Thor can summon the elements of the storm (lightning; rain; wind; snow) and uses Mjolnir as a tool to focus this ability.

After destroying every thrift store turntable his weekly allowance could afford, little boy foi decided that it was time to grow. Add fifteen years, a beard, and a collection of vinyl records that can keep a chiropractor in business then you have what the world knows as foi oi oi.

This elusive creature is energetic and quick as a DJ. His sets are built upon a world of adventure – each of which are catered to fit the crowd’s desires and atmosphere. His sets range all BPMs and genres yet stays cohesive throughout by keeping a tight mix of playful tunes. Inspired by everything from 808s to Amens, foi oi oi plays songs of both past and present, songs from all hemispheres, songs from his friends, songs from strangers, and songs from himself.

With a background in Audio Engineering (and thousands in school debt as proof), foi is constantly putting his knowledge to work by creating bass music defined by polyrhythmic percussion with a twist of groove and abstraction. Most of his work can be heard in a DJ collaboration with a fellow samurai, What the Bleep. Not only known for their live sets, but also for their annual mix entitled Feelings for Detroit. Now on it’s 8th year, Feelings for Detroit celebrates a musical tradition of adventure and exploration. Every volume of the mix contains a different story, each different from the last.

Written without any capital letters, foi oi oi is just as you are – a unique individual that must be heard.
