at this point you can hear the lively beat which is "figuring South Africa"

Right from the start of the song, the guitar is the first instrument heard, and in “figuring South Africa,” the guitar reflects the South African sound

Maintaining both a "bubblegum" and South African sound in order to be globally marketable, even when addressing the different countries in Africa.

Use of wind instruments for lingering times, simultaneous with the mentioning of various countries creates a very South African sound.

As Meintjes says, "...technical wizardry, science, rationality, and mind are linked with white people; blackness is associated with body, beat, and expressivity..." When this beat begins, you can 'feel' the music, as it embodies the defining elements of the music

Being primed from the beginning by a different language, I did not expect a minute into the song to hear English lyrics like "the same song we all song"; a song that speaks to different languages that we may truly "all sing."
