As Odd Chap said: "Right before I even started making electro swing I was listening to Lyre Le Temps (in particular "Looking Like This" which i stumbled across on Funky Pandas channel) which helped hook me into the electro swing genre and showed me how you could blend electro swing with all these different styles. This was early/mid 2015. Fast forward to 2016 and they drop their Prohibition Swing single and album and it completely blew me away, I listened to it soooo much, especially during the time when i was helping to work on Offbeat's album (poor Offbeat is still probably sick of that album i played it so much haha). But I absolutely love their sound."

All the trademark sounds are present and correct in the second single of 2023 from prolific classically trained composer and multi-instrumentalist RIFF KITTEN who has by now released an album a year on FRESHLY SQUEEZED since 2020's KITTY LITTER.

Over that time his trademark dark cinematic electro swing sound has broadly evolved to a more frenetic and upbeat jazz-influenced approach and also included countless self-released demos and side-albums. The last full album featured racing pianos, bouncing horn lines, saxophone riffs and double bass all off set with electronic dance music production flourishes.

The classic film version of the original tune from the movie 'Stormy Weather' is featured in our video here and includes this incredible dance sequence from the real life siblings, THE NICHOLAS BROTHERS and of course the Jive Man himself, CAB CALLOWAY and his Cotton Club era ORCHESTRA.

This track was originally recorded by PAOLO CONTE and has become something of a cult anthem. The lyrics roughly translated to English mean "Come away with me...".
