Rubber For Cars

This song is a personal one about being next to my Father's bedside in his last moments. The lyrics talk of how emotions can to and fro from humour and sadness, about wanting things to change for the better but a wish for a return to previous happier times. The song finishes talking of how his grandchild will know who he is and memories will live on. The song is simple and heartfelt in its production and delivery with just piano and voice. 'Lighthouse' is not a classic pop song: it tells a story. I wrote it when I was struggling to get along with a loved one. The idea was to bring love, the light of the lighthouse, to people who aren’t alright, who are being negative and hard to deal with. Through time, it became the song that gave me hope when my mom was dying; then it became the song that helped me through the process of grieving. I hope this song will help others during this difficult time we're all facing.  “It’s alright” to feel all the things you’re feeling. “It’s alright.”
