Following recent album 'It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time', SIMON LOVE returns immediately with a new EP 'Tennis Fan', out Fri 1st July on limited edition tennis ball, iTunes, Spotify and Bandcamp.

In his own words.. "TENNIS FAN uses vague tennis terms to detail the end of a relationship, packing in power ballad drums, a triple-tracked guitar solo, and an amazing strings & things crescendo from A LITTLE ORCHESTRA (a London based mini-orchestra-to-rent collective) - all in about two and a half minutes..There'll be tennis balls featuring printed download codes available at our shows - just as pointless as a cassette tape."

Formerly of bubblegum-garage John Peel favourites THE LOVES, Simon's recent offerings have drawn decade-spanning comparisons from ADAM GREEN and FATHER JOHN MISTY to "a potty-mouthed MACCA", ELLIOTT SMITH, BIG STAR, early TODD RUNDGREN, early ELTON JOHN and THE KINKS.

Following a recent European and US tour, SIMON LOVE & THE OLD ROMANTICS perform at this year's INDIETRACKS FESTIVAL in Derbyshire, alongside Saint Etienne, The Aislers Set, The Lovely Eggs, Comet Gain, Haiku Salut, Trust Fund and Seazoo.

The EP also includes 'Seasonal Affective Disorder # 2' written by Nottingham singer/songwriter Alexander Christopher Hale, a stomping glam pop nugget 'R U Dynamite?', and a new version of 'Motherfuckers' (taken from his last album) featuring A Little Orchestra.
