Tel-Aviv based trio Garden City Movement release their new single ‘Miss You (Under Shimokita Sky)’ - a dreamy electronic number released via Late Night Tales.

"Have you ever lost yourself for a minute, purchased a ticket, got on a plane and travelled all the way to other side of the world just not to meet the love of your life?" the band ask.
 
Mixing an eclectic blend of sounds and styles, ‘Miss You (Under Shimokita Sky)’ is a masterful indie dance anthem. Utilising a combination of dream-like vocals and languid  electronic beats, the trio's masterful production and lyricism touches on the significance of passing time, relationships and loneliness in the modern world.

Garden City Movement (Johnny Sharoni, Roy Avital and Yoav Saar) broke through at the end of 2013 with the launch of their debut single ‘Move On’. After the successful release of multiple EPs and stand-alone tracks, the band’s popularity skyrocketed, recording live sessions for Boiler Room, Majestic Casual and FACT, as well as opening sets for Bonobo, Caribou and alt-J.

2019 now sees the artistic collective embark on their first tour of Japan and Tawain – exploring the cultures and climates that inspired the track's release.

Following on from the health anxiety nightmares of ‘Pain in My Side’, Time Dilation Unit bring you another slice of 21st Century angst in this tale of social media psychosis with new single ‘Psycho Pterosaur’.

It's a very competitive world out there and social media is taking over people's lives.  Adding extra pressure to perform for a voyeuristic society that barely actually communicates with one another in the real world.

It creates an 'always-on' environment. It becomes addictive. The need to get more followers and likes, the yearning for attention. Add this to an already intense desire to climb social and professional ladders and you create a monster. A desperate abomination that will do anything and everything to get to the top. A Psycho Pterosaur....

Time Dilation Unit's new song forewarns of one such monster. One who is so blinded by the need to get attention that it literally tears itself and other people apart in the process.

So high on cortisol, it is turning into a nervous, over-stressed, psychotic wreck. A Psycho Pterosaur..... perhaps one should give Instagram a break for a few days?….

'The Lonely Sky' is the epic closing track of our third album, 'Dust'. It is an expression of the Humanist impulse to find meaning where no meaning ultimately exists, unless we create it.

As in the myth of Moriah, a father takes his son

Stoic in his sacrifice, the boy cries out “why, why, why?”
The wind takes the ashes, but there is no reply

I wrestled with my conscience on a bench on Peniel Hill
