If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud GO tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. It is a fusion of Global and African sounds.

Sea Glass is Beverly's fifth single release to date, and one that explores more of her folk roots, while keeping the magic of that low-fi electro sound she is known for. 

Written in 2018, this single was one of the first tracks that was written under the moniker of Jackie Beverly, so it's about time it got the chance to see the light of day.

"Written about a close friend who was struggling in life, it’s a song that explores finding beauty in the mundane, and focusing on the little things in life that can bring so much happiness. "

New to Beverly's soundscape are the use of strings, namely cello, which amplifies the folk feel that Beverly was striving to marry with her electro vibes. 

Produced by the amazing Darragh Nolan of Asta Kalapa studios, this is the third single they've worked on together.

Another Day, Another Apology

In a bar a woman watches another woman use her charm on a man. The watcher recognizes the scene because she's acted that way many times herself. She calls the woman she's watching Lady Jane and is captivated by her acting skills as the high seductress. There's a note of drama, even tragedy, in this song as the electric guitar, played majestically by Nicolas Loncle, gives way to a lyrical high-pitched bridge "Hey Lady Jane, before you fall, go tell him you love him after all". It's theatrical and electric from start to finish.
