If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

At the start of 2023, behind closed doors it wasn’t certain if Bare Jams would be able to continue. However, instead of throwing in the towel, it was through a cathartic writing process that the Bare Jams ship was steered into fresh and exciting waters, giving way to their second album “No Rain. No Flowers.” All written in a relatively short burst at the start of 2023, the album has an overall theme of keeping loved ones close, looking after them, and, more broadly, perseverance.

With this album Bare Jams show they are not afraid to take on the serious challenges we all face. However, they are eternal optimists and worldly-wise enough to know we can absolutely turn things around and find our way through the mire. Looking at the world around us, this positive reinforcement is perhaps what we all need to hear. Don’t go numb!

Let Me Go is the first song from autolemy's second album/novel 'Assisting Fate' - due April 2025. The song centres around two antagonists, Laura, an 11 year-old girl who is beginning to develop sexual feelings, and Jon, her 28 year-old stepfather - who has helped to encourage these feelings. With her desire to test her new found confidence, Laura tries to manipulate her stepfather in a scene within the book – which seriously backfires!

Whilst this song was recorded with one artist, the song is arranged as a back & forth between Jon and Laura, and explores each of their perspectives after what turns out to be a scene that is set to drastically affect both their lives forever.

‘Just A Feeling’ captures the experience of being caught off guard by a negative episode and coming to terms with unexpected and overwhelming emotions. The song explores the idea that what we feel comes and goes and ultimately even the darkest days cannot sustain their potency.

Just A Feeling

Recorded by Billy Foster at Snap Studios and mastered by James Trevascus at Bakewell Audio, the song fuses intimate verses with big anthemic choruses, charting an internal monologue of the author battling with himself and ultimately choosing life over self-destructive behaviour:

To celebrate their releases, The Lunar Keys often put their little money where their big mouths are - in support of good causes. For example, ‘Silent Ricochet’ aided the arrival of 900 trees (and counting), whilst ‘Stop This’, ‘Oxygen Type’, ‘Once’ and ‘Maniac’ raised money for the charities Nordoff Robbins, Oxygen, TheTrussellTrust and the nurses at The Royal Surrey Hospital respectively. 

The release of BLEED will continue this Lunar tradition: Inspired by recent events and, well, the song’s title, the band pledges to donate £1 for each of the first 250 airplays or reviews that BLEED receives to the Haemophilia Society. So, if you like BLEED and are good enough to play it on your show, please let us know, so that we can up the tally and big you up on our socials. 

Thanks to great DJs like your good self, previous Lunar Keys releases have enjoyed over 5000 plays from more than 400 radio stations including Planet Rock, BBC Wales, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing, where 5 of our singles enjoyed ‘Track of the Day’.

The Lunar Keys are 4 anxious types from Guildford (UK) with too many tunes and nervous energy trapped in their psyches not to be in this band. The band perfected its line up in February 2020 and have had a blast ever since, honing their craft and building a dedicated following.

In a generation of point fingers, I hope this comes as either a revolting or a fresh confession - admitting we've been selfish, but wanting to better - especially at loving the people we claim to love. Hoping to be Someone Who Loves (You) Better or SWLYB.
It's a slight nod to early 2000, stripped acoustic love songs which I find is missing and yet still surprisingly desired in this generation. Hope we give songs like these more airplay.

Rare in as much as it's an instrumental. I did have some lyrics and a melody for this - about a couple contemplating a move from London to Bristol. I recorded it, but then when I muted the vocals I actually ending up preferring the results (make of that what you will).
