For three years now, we have been bringing together crew producers and artists who make us move, through our annual various artists compilation.
This year, we wanted to share 'Orange Électronique,' a juicebox filled with diverse sounds and rhythms. You’ll taste hints of Trance, touches of House, Groove, and a variety of ingredients unique to each artist’s world. One thing's for sure, you'll get your daily dose of vitamins.  Among our artsy juice producers, Eiviloks offers us a retro-melancholic cover illustrating the tastes of the juicebox, under a deconstructed gaze. As a nod to her work, we have arranged the tracks by bpm... in descending order.

Following on his joint release on RNT white label last year, Colombian wunderkind https://soundcloud.com/felipe-gordon moves over to the Reserve imprint with a 4-tracker of beautifully crafted jazzy sampled house. The record kicks off with Those Quite Eyes of Yours, intertwining hollow-body guitar riffs around analog synth textures, moves into the late-nite piano stabs of There’s a Part of Me That’s Always True, then to the cheeky Tropicalia house groove of Now You Caught My Heart For The Evening, and concluding with the dreamy That Night At El Bukowski. It’s a melancholy and deep trip, perfect for listening or bumping in the club.

Fouk - Paahdy [24 Carrot]

From the @outplay camp comes Fouk’s new sub label 24 Carrot.  It’s for all the ‘other’ tracks, the bits that don’t necessarily fit on a regular Outplay EP.

Whether it’s an edit, a loose pumping house track, or just straight up weird stuff, 24 Carrot is whatever takes their fancy really.

 24 Carrot #1 is a collection of tracks from Outplay’s very own @junktion and Fouk..

On the A-side Junktion comes at you with “The Search”.  It’s an uplifting piano vocal disco tune which will be sure to move those dancing feet move.

 

The flipside is Fouk’s turf.  “That’s Pretty Vague” amps it up as a groovy bass line house track broken with toughened up synths. The tongue in cheek vocals lighten the mood, while staying pretty vague.

Closing out the EP is “Paahdy”, which says it all.  It’s straight up house with nods to Chicago, which is perfect for a damn good paahdy.
