Written by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych in 1914, this Christmas  Carol is an all time favorite.  My arrangement is played on a Continental Tricone resonator guitar hand crafted in 1993 in the Czech Republic.  Hopefully the sound this guitar provides does this great composition justice.  The ambience on this recording is mostly provided by the guitar naturally.

Worried Life

This a live performance with me accompanying Noma Falta in Second Life on this Beth Hart tune.   We are miles apart physically but musically together doing a dual stream performance in Second Life.  Noma gives me chills when she sings ...and of course she is an excellent bass player too!  I have been a fan for a long time so even though doing a performance in this odd way where one person cannot hear the other it is still a joy to do when performing with a talent like Noma.

My imagination

I have been asked many times to work up some Floyd ...then I also got a request to play some blues. And then it was tax time here in the good old USA ....which got me thinking about "money"! So ....voila ...here ya have it! It is blues folks! With the challenge to try and play this tune without a band I had to find a way to accomplish the same vibe without reverting to backing tracks. So after thinking it through I came up with a different approach to the middle section. Hope you like it! And as always ...thanks for watching and supporting.

The song is played in drop tuning and I play it on my Taylor GSMS guitar.

Money-Pink Floyd Cover

I grew up in the rock and roll city of Cleveland, Ohio and in the good old band days could be seen hanging out and playing in clubs with the likes of Joe Walsh and the James Gang and Phil Keaggy and Glass Harp. While playing guitar for as long as I can remember, the love of that instrument developed into a focus on acoustic fingerstyle guitar. With wide musical influences such as fingerstyle masters Merle Travis, Chet Atkins or Jerry Reed and now Tommy Emmanuel, classic blues and rock players such as Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page to the infamous Gypsy Swing player Django Reinhard, my music draws on a wide variety of sounds.  Singing is somewhat new to me but hopefully it rounds out the music.

My vision is that  “Life is too short for One Groove” and as a result I find myself investigating a wide range of musical colors.  While you will find a lot of covers here, I will also be offering original compositions when the inspiration hits me.  Thanks for listening!
