Pardon Moi is the Berlin-based New Wave Duo featuring the British producer and song writer James Brook & German producer and DJ Thomas Freudenthal. „Addiction“ sounds like John Foxx and Gary Numan joined forces with the global chug, dark disco and synth wave haute volée. This track would have been in the UK Top 20 in 1981, for at least three weeks, we are sure! And the remixes are great too! The Kike am Radar remix adds some high noon post-punk edge to the game, James Rod turns „Addiction“ into a dusty, slow motion new wave monster from outer space. K-Effect turn it into a chuggy synth wave groove and MontCosmic's punchy remix is maybe the tightest of them all with its anthemic vocals, driving new beat acid synths, hypnotic grooves and heavy handclaps. A quality package of New Wave!

Berlin based Pardon Moi, consisting of James Brook and Thomas Freudenthal, makes music that would fit perfect as a soundtrack for a ride in a Ferrari GTO convertible, or on a transatlantic flight on a Concorde. Unfortunately, vintage Ferraris are ridiculously expensive and Concords are taken out of flight but still the music creates an air of luxury and decadence for you to fill your lungs and air with.
 
Swiftly bursting into the electronic scene in 2016, duo managed to release a couple of ep and singles on Nein Records and Emerald & Doreen Recordings and then drew the attention of one of the most interesting and diverse european labels - Gothenburg based Höga Nord Records.

This 7” release will be their debut on swedish label .
Pardon Moi’s sound is warm, creative, uplifting and retro thanks to the use of analogue synthesisers. These take on a big role on both tracks, Power To The People/Touch 2 Much. Electro, synth pop, and electronic disco has influenced the duo’s sound on this 7”.  The musical direction is toward the future ,to a utopia built on a world where the 90s never happened. This is retro futuristic dance music, but the music don’t stop with being only nostalgic but holds qualities that would make any actor within any scene of modern electronic dance music envy.

The latest addition on @Roam-Recordings see's three stunning remixes of Pardon Moi tracks.

Berlin New Wave duo Pardon Moi consisting of @Freudenthal and James Brook penned the evocative “Power to the People” along with “Touch2Much” for Hoga Records. In the “Power to the People Remixes” EP, Roam Recordings has gathered together a dream team of remixers - Damon Jee, Markus Gibb, and Curses - who each put their own spin on the originals. Damon Jee starts it out with an an energetic version of Power to the People. Markus Gibb moves Power to the same track into slightly darker and heavier territory.

Switching gears though and our personal favourite - @Cursesforever takes on Touch2Much keeping the 80s vibe alive with a stylish upbeat dub that’s both quirky and fun.

The latest addition of Roam Recordings offers three stunning remixes of Berlin based 80s New Wave inspired band Pardon Moi. Following the success of their singles “Addiction” on Emerald & Doreen Recordings and “Inside the Outside” on Nein (which has been featured on BBC Radio) the Berlin duo Pardon Moi consisting of Thomas Freudenthal and James Brook have penned the evocative “Power to the People” along with “Touch2Much” which have been released in original form on 7” vinyl from Hoga Nord Rekords. In the “Power to the People Remixes” EP, Roam Recordings has gathered together a dream team of top remixers - Damon Jee, Markus Gibb, and Curses - who each put their own spin on the originals. Well we are back from our summer holidays with a new PREMIERE FROM PARDON MOI!!!! Its part of an EP which is set to be released this weekend in preparation for the Andrew Weatherall Convenanza Festival!!!

Fontän have had the honour to be remixed by some of the most interesting names in electronic music: Red Axes, Timothy J. Fairplay, Khidja, Mythologen and Pardon Moi give their take on tracks from the duo’s latest release Fontän (Höga Nord Rekords, 2017). The music moves in the landscapes of Leftfield, Techno, House and New Wave.
The evolution of Fontän continues from the cold and barren landscapes of the Swedish west coast, through some of the deepest cave like studios in Europe, out on to the continental club scene.

Rodeo Star is yet another completely realised piece of synth-disco perfection from Berlin-based New Wave Dance-Duo, Pardon Moi. The track is a powerful and memorable tune, an outstanding piece of dance music that possesses forward movement and direction, a melodic narrative and emotional arc that sets it above most of the utilitarian electro-dance sounds. ‘Rodeo Star’ is a steady yearning and cathartic moment of synth heaven, a pulsing track well-suited for any hour on the dance floor. Played by discerning selectors like Job Jobse through the last year, the single is finally available via Bandcamp now.



The formidable staying power and indelible New Wave Disco aesthetic of Pardon Moi is no minor triumph as the duo so ably embody the forgotten pop magic and capture how complex-yet-simple the music really is. The effortless agreement between unapologetic beats, lush synth-crescendos, and most critically the human voice tying it together tell of a complete universe, an instantly definable and unforgettable dance music moment. French DJ/producer Darlyn Vlys delivers a stunning new EP of indie disco for the latest installment on Roam Recordings. With an excellent catalogue of releases on labels such as Get Physical, My Favorite Robot, Sincopat, and recently with the huge success of Runner on Polymath and Horse on Atlant, Darlyn Vlys has become a sought after artist on the rise. For his EP on Roam, Darlyn Vlys offers two new original works. The title track - Bladed - sets the mood with stylish vocals and guitar stabs that hit all the right places. Neo Noir brings the tempo up while keeping the lush soundscape found throughout the EP.  Backing up the originals are two incredible and diverse remixes by Kiwi and Pardon Moi. Kiwi moves Neo Noir in a smooth dreamy direction while Pardon Moi remakes Bladed into full on 80s Italo anthem.
