I lost 777’s very good verse and couldn’t be arsed to cut it properly, so the second verse is just blank. Soz.

Found this on an old drive. When I made this, I was really trying to do something. Build a persona. The idea was what if art came from villages on the edges of England’s 2nd, 3rd, and 4th cities? What if rap belonged there?

Art for the people who think art isn’t for them. That was the point.

But then I overanalysed it to death. Kept trying to get it perfect. Wanted to control how people would perceive it. and when I couldn’t, I sacked the whole thing off.

This was probably the best track of the lot, though. It deserves to be out there. Even if it’s just on my shite soundcloud. That’s the least Russell of Suburbia - the tired, anxious, alcoholic, brilliant, genius, pathetic, trying dad - deserves.
