The plane meandered slowly against a backdrop of blue, it weaved between the clouds like some sort of lost fly dancing beneath the sun. On board there were all sorts of wild and wonderful people, they were travelling to a new future overseas under the sky. Some slept, others looked out upon the view down beneath, watching as they flew forth over mountains, oceans and forests. The sky was alive with the sound of the great engines as the plane careered between time zones and into unchartered territory. 

Talking Drums have always been a firm favourite, they always tease the dancefloor with playful melodies, fantastic edits and percussive workouts and represent the fun, feel good enthusiasm which dance music should be all about in the truest sense. Their new EP features two tracks of sun kissed fun destined for good times this summer. Tip!

Montreal artist @Kora-musique takes the next steps for recently launched New York label Earthly Delights, an imprint centred on spotlighting talents pushing the boundaries of electronic blends. The Canadian producer and DJ picks up the mantle from Yor Kultura, who provided the labels first release in a three tracker titled 'Odyssey'. Kora comes to the label after the well received 'Nuit D'Afrique' and 'Ovo' on Kindisch in November. He treats Earthly Delights to two original cuts in 'Fragile' and 'Vayu'. The pair have already seen much support  from the likes of Acid Pauli, Hernan Cattaneo, Oliver Schories, as well as heavy rotation on the playa. White Ocean founder Timujin supplies the remix action, reworking his own top notch version of 'Fragile'. Today, we're very excited to present to you in full premiere 'Fragile' in its original mix. This is an incredibly emotive cut, which fuses two distant worlds in one exquisite concoction. Soft pads, beautiful rhythms and a distinct eastern vibe mark the latest footprint in the journey of the young music maker. Release date - January 16th, 2017.

It’s 6:66am when Chinaski elbows his way on to the floor. Leather jacket. Metal studs. Bare arms. Tattoos. With his hand freshly stamped this newcomer brazenly strides into the Bordello. His style? Try to pin it down. Beats parry and pound with the intensity of an EBM hammer. Yet, strolling through those meaty kick drums stride shimmering melodies that sport elements of new beat, italo and techno. The rakish grooves of “Surfin’ Dead” occupies the A-Side. Bold rhythms fly in the face of burbling bass and cascading chords as Chinaski takes control. A body pumping work out follows. “Unschuld Der Sinne” throws beat shaped fists from the needle drop as a brawl breaks out. Born in the smoke machines of Belgium, this bruiser balances its rough edged rhythms with beaming bars. There’s to be no relenting as the closer screams like a nitro-fuelled missle. “Ab In Die Ewigkeit” soars is a muscle-bound sky rocket set to keep any floor rumbling to the break of dawn.

Benedikt Frey is many. Or just one? He is a composer. An arranger. A DJ. A Liveact. A ghost producer. A fan. He also plays in bands like INIT, or Dolphins or KEYS +++ produced the last two albums for Chris Imler. Downbeat in experimental dub zones. The goat for Edits and remixes. When house was his nation, he used to listen to pen names like Suedmilch or Venedikt Reyf. He still likes the music formed under their umbrella, but today his tomorrow is not echoed in yesterday. His sound signature moved on. Into the open. He founded labels like R.i.O. or Serious Trouble. 

He lives in Berlin. Physically. In mind Benedikt Frey is at many places. Traveling far thru his home studio that is a flat a studio a flat an instrument a record collection a flat a studio. Everywhere gear, vinyl, tapes, instruments, rooms for spontaneous sonic notions, these moments, when a sudden strike of stimulation falls. He is inspired a lot. For music to dance. Music for films. Music for live shows. Music for dancing glows. Techno, house, downbeat, ambient, jungle, electronics outside the norms. Those transportive ones. Jamming with others. Jamming with his mind. In Berlin Wedding, North of the town, where the lights dimmed low, neighbors share the flow, and a small river runs slow.  As a DJ he plays here, there, everywhere. Big clubs, small shacks, festivals, gatherings. From fast to 90 BPM - as he feels. 

For himself. For the crowd. In the spur. He still remembers his club kid days. Going to dance with friends. Down there in Offenbach. Doing the Robert Johnson. Collective emotions for a better tomorrow. These he still seeks. In his music. His shows. His collaborations. You can book him for a party. For enlightenment. For ecstasy or introspective perspectives. Dancing slow, whilst pirouetting a high-pitched show. 

Since more than a decade. His own music is out there, too. Bringing his spirits in sound. On his own labels. On international imprints like ESP Institute, Hivern Discs, Craigie Knowes, or Emotional Response. Solo works. Driving ones. Slow drills. Teased during his DJ dates around the planet. 

The music plays day and night. Inspiration comes. From a simple kick drum. A movie sequence. A bird on the sill. A picture, totally still. Can’t kick that feeling when it hits. Benedikt Frey. In dreams. In streams. In music. Emotions. Situations. At night. In those flashy lights, when it bites.
