Hi! I’m Lotus Phaze, a Canadian DJ and producer based out of Leeds 😊

⭐️ Describe your vibe!
My friends often describe my DJ sets as “chaotic joy”. For example, I’m no stranger to blending K-pop and amapiano together and then slamming down a bhangra DnB remix just to mix things up!
 
⭐️ Representing…
I am happy to represent two collectives: Tonal Tints and Dizytek! You can also catch me spinning tunes in support of Burna’s UK debut at Old Red Bus Station on August 12th!

Wanted to say a huge shout out to Friday Feeling for inviting me to do a guest mix and to everybody that has supported me so far as a DJ. I really appreciate it!
 
⭐️ Tell us about the mix!
It’s a representation of that electric feeling you get on a Friday where you can leave your worries at the door until Monday. There’s a bit of something for everyone; Baile Funk, Jersey Club and some very bassy electronic dance tracks. Keep your ears peeled for music by ahadadream, Bianca Oblivion, SPHMRE & Ambition. I wanted to also use tracks to celebrate South Asian Heritage Month (celebrated between July 18th and August 17th!) to show that different cultures can come together to create some dope blends.
 
⭐️ What gives you that Friday Feeling?
Good weather, good tunes, and that every Friday is a new chance to go and create some amazing new memories!

Tailor Jae has established herself as a technical firehouse behind the decks, genreless at heart but heavy on the bass. She is one of London's most exciting DJ's
Born in East London to Ghanaian parents. Tailor grew up with 4 other siblings, in a small area in Canning Town. She never grew up with ambitions of being in the music industry but after receiving an ipod as a present for her birthday and access to limewire , all that would change. Finding tracks and showing them off to friends at house parties would soon turn into secretly teaching herself how to DJ on a £50 controller. Although having siblings who dabbled in MCing, Tailor never thought the lingering of pirate radio shows - her brother would play in the room they all shared, would somehow come back to be a part of her future story.
