Fried Chicken Sound System are a Wellington based DJ duo (D Dog and Marek) who are constantly setting clubs, events and parties alight with their buck wild dj sets and antics. The brainchild of D Dog and Welly legend Kava, who has since left our shores for Berlin, Fried Chickens greasy rave antics have been a cornerstone of the Wellington scene since 2003. From their early beginnings championing straight up party hip hop and dancehall the tempo has steadily increased and now the focus is more on the rave-centric sounds of dubstep, funky, electro, house and other fresh bass heavy club sounds and trends of 2011 and beyond. Their regular residencies at Wellington club institutions Good Luck Bar, San Francisco Bath House and Sandwiches are consistantly rammed out affairs with lines up the street and epic good times on the dancefloor. They have promoted and supported a diverse selection of some of the freshest and hottest producers, djs and acts on the planet the likes of Rusko, Dizzee Rascal, Jack Beats, DJ Marky, Sinden, Mt Eden Dubstep, The Beatnuts, Mos Def, Home Brew, Caspa, to name merely a few
