Facing The World Alone

Our German buddy Soundslogic returns back to PHW this week with another crisp selection of melodic progressive house music. The young producer is as a lot of you already know one of the most promising names on the scene, and we love every time we get the chance to push him. 

The title track “Memories” is truly warm melodic production, filled with all the elements that Soundslogic is all about, rich melodies, warm bass lines and the rolling grooves that put a smile on the faces of everyone. It’s another gorgeous one from Felix, with a slightly more relaxed feel and we absolutely love it from start to finish.

On remix duty for this track, we see a welcome return from one of our favorites this past year, as Bratislava and Slovakia based producer Sollito returns to us for another sensational interpretation on the label. With a string of releases reaching into the playlist of ABGT in recent months, he’s one of those producers building his name and reputation quickly, and here is another reason why it is happening fast for him. He’s built on some amazing drive and groovy textures to the track here, and delivers another uplifting progressive production that we are certain will echo across the globe. 

The 2nd original from Soundslogic, baptized as “Complicated”, on this EP is another epic one built  through melodic progressions, warm bass lines and effective add ons to build another masterpiece. He is so talented and definitely one to watch for the future. Amazing is a word to be used for the melodic parts built here.

On remix duty we see another return on the label and we are so thrilled to once more being able to involve one of our best friends on the label, the Norwegian producer and huge talent, Eleve. This “musical machine” is fair to say one of the most interesting names in the business as he always tend to find new ideas and ways to being creative. This is another fine example of what he is capable of. Added on melodic textures, fresh flute sounds and an overall juicy and uplifting feel brought on, he once more proves he is here to stay, and we couldn’t be more proud than what we are to involve him on our PHW label. 

Overall, this is a release that we are extremely proud of, bringing together some of the most talented names there are out there. Stay tuned for more, but for now, go ahead and dive in on this beautiful release.

Today we have a truly classic track with us as our PHW / PHW Elements Christmas Gift, as we see the track that really kicked things of from this absolutely amazing talent from the UK, the one and only Toby Hedges and his timeless production ”Mirai”. It feels like just around the corner, and still it is almost 3 years since this track arrived to the world. About the original there isn't a thungs that haven't been said over the years, and we leave it like that. We are certain all prog lovers remember this PHW signing. 

Though we see it coming back, and what is better than bringing another tremendous producer back on it, and whipp on a total remake of it. Our good buddy and co worker on PHW, Eleve is giving this worldwide recognized track his tweak and twist, and the out come is fair to say absolutely superb with a juicy groove, cool vocal elements added on together with the laid back and yet pumping feel. We absolutely love it, and hope to see a lot of attention for it, as it is what it deserves, super work Jarl as always!

Toby Hedges - Mirai (Eleve Remix)

Some producers are the ones that you would love to have with each and every week, as they always bring on something that will touch you and we are delighted to be able to bring back one of those to our label this week as we see one of the fastest rising stars in the genre come back to us at PHW as we are proud to bring on another massive release from one of the UK’s best, Ashraf Soobiah aka Zuubi. From his studio in Leicester, East Midlands in the UK, he spoils us once again with another brilliant EP.

The title track, and also the opener “Come Home” is a fantastic journey of crisp sound design, melodic arrangements and another joyfilled example of what this creative person is up to. It’s a great blend of elements, vocal adds and extremely tight sounds that all together bring on another masterpiece that we are so proud of, seeing him “Come Home” with.

Next up, as the 2nd production we see another progressive production, this one baptized as “Holograms”. It has a smooth feel, built through hypnotizing textures, small vocal adds and melodies to die for. It’s always a pleasure having this stellar producer with us, and this is one of the reasons why, the music speaks for itself.

The 3rd addition to the release is a slightly more trance inspired production, filled with more energy and stronger elements to make it stand out a bit more. It’s packed with a bigger feel, but wrapped up nicely with cool layers of sounds and melodic textures.

We are of course proud to bring on Zuubi to our roster once more, and we hope, and believe that there will be something really special for you in this package!

With Vintage & Morelli's debut artist album just around the corner, it's our great privilege to present the standout first single, "Daydream". Premiered recently on Above & Beyond's "Group Therapy" radio show, this breathtaking track not only best represents the Serbian talent's dynamic and versatile sound, but also is truly one of his finest compositions to date.

A patient, heavily filtered groove and piano-based lead set a deep and mysterious tone in the early going. The sensual soundscape is enhanced by haunting vocal accents, as well as resonant bass layers (an artist signature). As the opening build begins to wind back down, gorgeous piano lines begin to emerge, setting the stage for an awe-inspiring breakdown. Specifically, in the break, the emotive piano theme is joined by a plaintive "Who are you" vocal refrain. Energetic, trance-influenced synths follow, creating an aura of almost overwhelming suspense. Finally, the deep rhythm drops back into the mix, which crescendoes to absolutely glorious effect.

The incomparable Shingo Nakamura begins his eighth year as a contributor to our imprint with the one and only remix of "Daydream". Fans of the Japanese virtuoso are already well aware that he is capable of writing superlative music in a wide variety of genres; given the deeper vibes in the original mix, he has chosen to inject a shot of adrenaline into his interpretation. Side-chained pads and electrifying chords establish the peak-hour sound early. In the breakdown, the gorgeous piano motif from the original mix is solo'd and then later joined, once again, by layered, goosebumps-inducing pads and chords. The drop to follow is absolutely thrilling -- easily one of the most emotive, intelligent, and anthemic arrangements of Shingo's storied career.

A long time server on the scene and with us on PHW Elements, Haroun Omar returns after a spell away, and we are as grateful as ever to see him come back to us, this time with a collaboration with NAZ, the brilliant producer based in US. With this deep house influenced production, named as “Weeping Motherland”, we see another side of their game, and they deliver a classy act, just as expected.

On remix duty we see another collaboration, as Volkan Erman makes his debut on PHW Elements, together with returning artist Hypnotic Progressions. They deliver a stripped down and funky retake, as they deliver one that we feel is to shine, if your game is the deeper side of underground music. It’s a beast as always from these guys and we are thrilled to show another dimension on the label. 

The 2nd remix comes from the 2nd alias of Jacek Gumbisz, more known to us through his absolutely amazing Monojoke alias, the Poland based artist comes here with his alias for deep house, Telekollektiv. With a funky and warm approach on this interpretation, he once again proves he is a producer, having full control of his DAW. It’s another excellent production from this very talented artist.
