The Saturday Night Riddim project started as a de-mix ( the opposite of a remix) of Mr. Williamz and Chopstick Dubplates’ Jungle track “ Saturday Night”, which was re-played as a reggae track by Friendly Fire Band.

The riddim sounded so fat, that Tippa Irie and Myki Tuff both recorded their own versions. Myki Tuff’s sound-killing anthem came out at the end of last year and made a lot of noise, so we are now unleashing the other cuts – Mr. Williamz’ party touch down, and Tippa Irie’s plea to wreck less Mini Bus drivers in JA. 

Don’t forget to check the sister release on Chopstick Duplates which features a different set of vocals in a jungle style.

DREADSQUAD

Dreadsquad are a Polish production duo formed in 2001.
They have cooperated with the cream of the Polish reggae and hip hop scene as well as many European and Jamaican reggae artists (e.g. Ward 21, Tenor Fly, Top Cat, General Levy, U Brown, Milion Stylez, Lady Chann, Tipa Irie, Jah Mason, Perfect & Dr Ring Ding)

Their songs and gigs are the fusion of reggae, dancehall, ska, rocksteady and hip-hop. The duo freely mixes genres, plays with sounds and bases their music on deep bass and broken rhythm. They often combine Jamaican music with modern sounds of Breakbeat, Jungle, Dubstep and Garage.

Based in Birmingham, UK, Friendly Fire Music is a label and recording studio specialising in live roots and reggae revival.

Friendly Fire also has a band which performs live shows and composes and records riddims, Friendly Fire Band, as well as a soundsystem responsible for Birmingham's longest lasting weekly reggae linkup since 2001,  Jam Jah Sound.
