Helena Hauff is simply one of the most exciting DJs on the planet, playing a mix of; electro, techno, acid house and EBM in energetic vinyl only sessions. Originally from Hamburg, Helena learnt her trade as a resident DJ at the intimate Golden Pudel venue before venturing out to tour the world. She’s played at renowned festivals including Movement Detroit, Sonar Barcelona and Field Day London. In 2017 she became the first-ever female DJ to be awarded the prestigious ‘Essential Mix of the Year’ by Radio One. 
Helena has a unique sound as a music producer with three highly acclaimed albums under her belt recorded for Ninja Tunes, Dark Entries and Werk Discs - preferring a 'less is more' approach to sound design using analogue machines. Helena also curates and runs her own excellent Return to Disorder record label that has featured releases from; Umwelt, Nite Flight, L.F.T and Dynarec.
Helena is well known for keeping away from social media, smart-phones and all the trappings of 21st century life yet still manages to survive perfectly well…Looks like we’re going to have fit in a crate of records or two in the back as The Hauff joins us for Escape Pods…

RNDSTD / RANDSTAD is one of the music monikers of multi-disciplinary artist Thomas van Linge. He is the Co Founder of record labels BAKK and Rubber and the RUBBER TIJD podcast series and lives and works in Berlin. His work covers a variety of disciplines, varying from sculpture and installation to video and sound work, music, and more recently artificial intelligence and the web2/web3 realm. This trans-disciplinairy approach lends itself to take inspiration from a broad spectrum of contemporary cultural phenomena, such as: the ethos and visual heritage of (electronic) music, internet iconography and countercultures. 

For his Sonidos Subterraneos podcast he selected a diversity of raw and distorted tracks from different traditions and decades of techno and electronic music.

Patholgy Report we explore the 1948 Japanese Imperial Bank Mass Cyanide Poisoning incident that occured at Shiinamachi [Toshima,Tokyo], which led to the arrest and conviction of painter & artist Hirasawa Sadamichi [平沢貞通]. Despite the lack of evidence, he was sentenced to death in 1950, awaited execution by hanging, and eventually died of natural causes in 1987. There have been numerous theories, rumors & sayings that a man posing as a Government Health worker ordered the victims to drink the poison, in order to protect themselves from a hypothetical incoming outbreak of dysentery, while others are arguing crime was committed by a soldier/member of Unit 731 [:Covert biological, chemical warfare research & development unit of the Imperial Japanese Army that engaged in lethal human experimentation and biological weapons manufacturing during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945) and World War II]. Today is such a somber day for the underground community. We have lost such amazing artists, and I have no words to express the deep sadness I feel. I've been listening to their discography the entire day, trembling as I remember their music, which has been a huge inspiration to me for the past 10 years. I've chosen my favorite tracks and tried to put together a tribute mix. Tears streamed down my face while recording, and I still can't believe it, but I feel gratitude for having had the chance to see them perform. May their art live on forever. 🤍🕊️

Ópalo is the alias of the dj/musician and producer Alejandro Romero. 
The purpose of this name is to give a concept to the experimental, downtempo and ambient style music that the artist proposes. 

With this alias Ópalo has already released an LP on his own label 'Caracteres'. For his live performances Ópalo uses two formats, a dj set or a live set. His dj sets are known for mixing music from various eras, especially experimental concepts within downtempo. His live sets take on a rather introspective feel where the artist takes the opportunity to show his processes inside the studio when composing. 

In retrospect Ópalo is a project that proposes urban sounds, deep and human content using a futuristic language that at the same time recycles elements from the past, especially from the music of the nineties.

Dealing With Love is an album that mixes electronic, IDM and downtempo sounds. The content of the album could be considered esoteric in nature, however there are nuances that also invite to let off steam and to see things from the inside out. 

The process of the album seeks to integrate the different parts that the artist has been working with his interpersonal relationships. Most of the songs were composed in the outskirts of Quito in a community dedicated to permaculture. 

Dealing with love is an exaltation to the strong emotions that awaken both manual, intellectual and spiritual work.

Clock DVA is one of the pivotal groups of industrial music. Founded more than forty years ago, the instrumental outfit has seen a contemporary partnership of electronic experimentation forged between Adi Newton and Maurizio Martinucci since 2010. It is their source material that proves fertile ground for two remixes, remixes by two heavyweights of electronic music. Atom™ delivers his re-imagining of “De-Konstructor.” A lone string is met by snapping snares as an alluring, yet cold, melody unfolds. Newton’s raspy throaty words rise, a stark prescient poetry countered by angular acid-twisted keys before samples buckle and loop. The second stalwart of electronics drafted in is Scanner for his reframing of “Rayonist Refraction #1.” A ghostly female voice haunts a backdrop of electrical fizz and voluminous cracks of shuddering thunder. Guitar strings tremble in this eerie landscape with a smattering of spoken text bringing solace to this hostile environment. Music for an all to immediate reality.
