Born and raised in Brussels with roots from Congo. Mambele inherited the musical virus of his father, whom is passionate about Congolese rumba. Hip hop had a major impact on his youth. Too shy to rap, he began to make beats at the age of 15. Mambele’s first beat tape (Ya yambo) is a recollection of his first 2 years living alone in the heart of Brussels. It’s a melting pot of compositions and samples with different influences from RnB, soul, disco, funk, jazz to Congolese rumba which he translates in hip hop beats. Ya yambo means “the first” in his native language. As he is the eldest son, It’s the first step for him in his musical journey.

Shungu is back on earth after his "Exile dreams" in the astral worlds.

On his journey to travel beyond new horizons, lost In the middle of eternity, a new sunlight appeared through the darkness of humanity. Finding victory in defeat, he rebuilt his spaceship.

Far away, further than we can hear, he's been working on different frequencies.
The beginning of the end of something.

Inspired by the work of Gods, Shungu mastered his perspective of music, elevating the symbol of eternity above all else. 

The new quest is just starting. Recorded in the Darkestra homestudio in Brussels, 10 songs have been produced. With contributions from Gabriel Ramon on guitar and bass, he has also been joined vocally by Pink Siifu, Mamoyo and Spote Breeze.
