An autumnal vision appears before you, ensconced in a golden aura that ripples at its edges. The sides of a deep canyon corral your view along a single pathway that leads to a range of distant mountains, its slopes barren, brown, and bespeckled by a strange grasslike cilium that sways gently despite the lack of evident wind. This undulating organism only becomes more prevalent in the foreground, where its yellow coloration mimics that of the fallen leaves of your homeworld. Here to be found are no rotting remains upon which for this fungus to feast, and yet even in its widespread prevalence it is dwarfed in size by the gargantuan decomposers that neighbor it, with stalks that stretch to spread their spores wide beneath the blanket of the clouded sky.

There is a familiarity to this vision that the great serpent presents, reminiscent for you of journeys past within a world of cerulean hue. Perhaps this locale can be found upon the same spatial body, a neighbor or far-flung echo of that other mycelial realm? One thing stands as certain - knowledge occult is promised to those with the intellect and constitution necessary to brave the serpent’s trials. The portal lies open before you - shall you enter this strangely stagnant realm?

TIM TASTE makes his VISION SERPENT debut for the label’s fourth release with his single Ideas//Raindance, further featuring a remix of the former by label curator DAVID PHOENIX. Replete with a resplendent collection of psytech tonalities, the tracks within are sure to attune listeners to their sonic senses of both Taste and Vision alike.

Leathery blooms balloon before you, gargantuan in size and coated in a viscous ichor that seeps slowly from their pores and wafts gently to the ground in oozing droplets amidst the low gravity of this planetoid’s atmosphere. Upon the earth stained by this acrid fluid another fungus springs to life, spreading forth in fractal patterns composed of a multitude of microscopic cells. From the edges of this organism emanates a faint sibilant sound, resultant of its consumption of minerals from the rocky ground below. 

Over millennia, it seems that these strange processes of life have carved great canyons into the landscape that stretches into the distance. As you peer into the background of the portal presented by the Vision Serpent, tiny veins of pristine blue waters glisten gently under the light of the planetoid’s dim sun, presenting a much more hospitable clime than that which surrounds the portal’s exit. Shall you step through to the other side, braving this alien world to seek the wonders promised amidst its distant cerulean streams?

8KICKS brings his latest single SAME THING to VISION SERPENT, delivering two original tracks and a remix by Reclaim & Uddhav through the label’s sonic portal. SAME THING’s swooping bassline dominates the listener's ears as a vocal sample narrates a mystical experience, whilst its accompanying remix by Reclaim & Uddhav imbues the track with a sense of frenetic urgency. MOVING then closes the single, marching into the unknown in time with the steady snap of its snare drum. Virtual Geisha’s debut is a sonic punch against apathy. After years of hypnotizing with emotionally charged DJ sets and visionary curatorship, she breaks through as a producer with a techno manifesto built to set the dancefloor on fire.

At its core pulses a searing monologue from Network (1976), as urgent now as it was four decades ago. Around it, Virtual Geisha builds a ritual of tension: hypnotic bongos, gritty textures, and a piano loop by Hania Derej, re-sampled and twisted into a melancholic vortex.
