Goldfish return with their unique style of Organic House and the release of their brand new single: Deep Of The Night Feat. Diamond Thug.

It all started with Goldfish driving home from late evening surf in their home city of Cape Town, casually listening to the radio and serendipitously stumbling across a first, and what turned out to be only - play on air of a new band called Diamond Thug.

Immediately captured by the lead singer’s languid vocal style and the band’s acoustic sounds, the duo tracked the band down on Soundcloud to find that that they too, were based in Cape Town. 
A meeting with the two acts was immediately set up at Goldfish’s studio, which turned into an electrifying jam and writing session, and so a song was born.

Floating effortlessly over hypnotic rhythmic guitars, Chantal’s silky vocal gives the track luxurious depth with Goldfish’s signature organic production style evoking images of a night alone under the stars, juxtaposed with a thumping kick and driving bassline that builds into a Summery chorus you’ll be instantly singing along to. The lyrics point to a searching for something, be it inspiration, answers, closure or hope - in a world full of questions that can be found in the deep of the night.

Between their grueling touring schedule, relocating to San Diego, recording, and surfing in all four corners of the globe, Dom and Dave have been quietly and steadily building a reputation for incendiary lives shows and hyper-catchy releases that are poised to spill them over into the mainstream consciousness.

Continuing his astonishingly breakneck pace of top-shelf releases in 2017, SLYNK is already back at your speakers. “With The Funk” is an old-school hip-hop banger, dripping with that deep Ghetto Funk bottom end.

After a couple of harder electronic tracks, Slynk gets right back to the funky basics on the track. The live instrumentation, courtesy of The Bermudas (Jimmy, Pat, Chuck and Timmy), is warm and gooey, lacing the track with a grounded, familiarity that is only attainable with multiple people working towards a common sonic goal.  Great music comes from collaboration and this is damned-fine, super-fly, downright streets-ahead music right here. All of this funky hip-hop gold is the base for Megan Hamilton's classically fresh, delightfully old-school rhymes.

This track will make you feel like you've been missing out on something seriously special. “With The Funk” is celebratory, feel-good hip-hop that splits the difference between old-school and new-school party aeshetics. Your day will go just fine with this in your headphones.

Blue Marlin's beautiful location and high quality dining experience is accompanied by an equally exquisite music policy each day by Resident DJ's Vidal Rodriguez, Prosper Rek, Tom Crane & Bruce Hill along with special guests. During the day whilst the sun shines and people sit back and relax on the loungers the resident DJ's provide gorgeous laid-back beats and chilled vibes to provide the ultimate Blue Marlin experience. At night, Blue Marlin opens it's doors to a selection of Guest DJ's and performers to get the real party started with appearances from Little Louie Vega, Goldfish, Wally Lopez, Chuckie and Barbara Tucker to name a few. 

For volume 7, Blue Marlin have really pulled out all the stops, giving us 2 discs each with a distinctly different flavour, but still retaining that cool Blue Marlin vibe. Disc 1 is full of great deep house cuts that provide a taste of nights at the club, standout tracks being the Luna City Express remix of Marcos In Dub’s Mama Said and Pachanga Boys timeless Time. Disc 2 is more chilled and features stunning tracks from James Welsh and Prins Thomas’ remix of James Yuill’s This Sweet Love. The album will be heavily promoted across social media by Blue Marlin’s label partner Cr2 Records, and will be advertised extensively at the club itself.


Jacob Mikesh Filburt – Philipp Dolphia

Fritz Kalkbrenner grew up in Berlin, shaped by the city's transformation after the fall of the Wall. Immersed in the electronic scene through his brother Paul, he found his voice in 2003 on Sascha Funke’s Forms & Shapes before making history with Sky & Sand—the iconic track from Berlin Calling that became a generational anthem.

His solo career took off with Here Today Gone Tomorrow (2010), blending deep house beats with his soulful, melancholic vocals. Chart-topping albums like Sick Travellin’, Ways Over Water, and True Colours solidified his status as a global electronic act, with hits like Back Home and Kings & Queens dominating airwaves.

Always evolving, Fritz explored instrumental sounds on Drown (2018) and launched his label Nasua Music. His recent releases, Moments Gone and Waiting for the Sun, further showcase his ability to merge deep house grooves with pop sensibility. In 2024, he joins Virgin Records / Universal Music to release his latest album, Third Place, marking another milestone in his ever-expanding legacy.
