This great ep is a demonstration of the effect that techno can have on a dance floor when all the elements blend perfectly.

With an emphasis on unconventional sound design, Tunnel is best described as a sound sculptor working within the genre of techno and electronic music. His compositional forms combine elements of sub bass, broken rhythms, and melodic abstractions into a sonic tapestry that exists somewhere between fervor and seance, chaos and artistry. Tunnel is an outlier within the techno scene, exclusively performing his own original material and that of his ever-evolving electronic music label, Webuildmachines.

Tunnel launched his record label, Webuildmachines , in 2013. The label’s prolific output of releases have garnered high praise and charted recognition from big players within the techno and electronic music community – Paula Temple, Dave Clarke, Surgeon, Ben Sims, Tommy Four Seven, Drumcell, Electric Indigo, and Claude Young. Tunnel’s original track, “Nostalgia,” was featured on Richie Hawtin’s, Essential Mix - Los Angeles .

In recent months, Tunnel and the Webuildmachines label have focused their energy on launching an independent monthly techno showcase, NOISEFLOOR . The event series continues to grow, featuring the state of the art in techno and electronic music performance from local and independently-minded Chicago-based labels and producers.

Tunnel, as an artist and label curator, will continue to search for new sounds and structures, with a focus on pushing the music forward. Every Tunnel performance is an opportunity to participate in, and witness, the evolution of techno music.

Mossmoss (aka Mattie Bowen) is a Scottish born dj and producer with an intense interest in explorative music. With a keen ear and eye for detail, he is an artist by nature. His wandering sets paint landscapes of light and dark patterns, textures, and strange melody, heavily relying on atmosphere and tension. Mattie's inspiration draws from the organic details of existence, the tiny pieces most overlook in exchange for the big-picture rush of an ever changing modern world. His mind deeply set to explore these facets and to share his exploration in all forms to those that might look and listen. Mossmoss currently resides San Francisco and draws on The City and its colorful nightlife for constant immersive inspiration.

Mossmoss has had the pleasure of setting up some of the most popular underground dance music artists in the world, including Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Marcell Dettmann, Function, Max Copper, Tale of Us, Cari Lekebusch, Todd Terje, Magda, Jooris Voorn, Voices from the Lake, Axel Boman, Kassem Mosse, and Speedy J, among many others. Currently mossmoss is a resident for the promotion group As You Like It in San Francisco, California.

Mossmoss has released music on Coal, RACECAR, Kabutomushi, El Otro Mundo, Blipswitch Digital, and Cable recordings, with more to come.

US based artist, Milkplant (Justin William Pennell) is originally from Milwaukee,Wisconsin; but has lived in Oakland, California since 2010.  He relocated to the West Coast in 2004, lived in Seattle for six years, and started the internationally recognized Techno label and artist collective, From 0-1; with fellow artist, Sone.  Schooled in the Midwest and developed on the West Coast, his work encompasses over 30 years of combined DJ/production experience, and 9 years of record label operations.

In autumn 2014 he released 'Time Dilation', a four track 12" EP on From 0-1.  Charted by Gary Beck, Paul Mac, and Ben Sims at #2, #1, and #26 in their November 2014 Juno charts, this was a turning point for him.  Since then he has released on Planet Rhythm, Wall Music, Dark Net, Etichetta Nera, From 0-1, and Excise.  His productions have drawn critical acclaim from many notable artists; showing up in mixes and charts by Ben Sims, Cari Lekebusch, Jerome Sydenham, Bryan Zentz, Joachim Spieth, Tommy Four Seven, Submerge, Tadeo, Mattias Fridell, Mr. Jones, Electric Indigo, David Meiser, Samuli Kemppi, Arnaud Le Texier, Abstract Division, DJ T-1000, and many others.

As a DJ he can be found playing a combination of vinyl and CDJs.  He has played in various cities across the US, most notably in Detroit at the Blank Code - Droid Interface/Scene party for Movement 2016.  His mixes have been featured on Droid's D-Node podcast, the Warsaw Torture Boyz podcast, Blank Code podcast, Drone podcast, and Error Sessions.  Upcoming releases: “The Distance” 12” vinyl EP arrives autumn 2017 on San Francisco based label, Excise; his remix of Sone’s ‘Australis’ arrives on 12” vinyl late 2017 via From 0-1.

Komprezzor is not simply another gimmick or project trying to reach for the sky, fame or
mainstream, in the contrary he prefers to stay hidden in the darkest corner of that old abandoned
factory were you once wondered if you even had the guts to step in. The sounds and elements of
his live sets are dark and dirty as if they had been extracted from a piece of literature by Edgar
Alan Poe. Full of white noises and atmospheric riffs the percussive elements are extracted from
classic drum machines; such as the legendary 808, 909, and 303 that slowly morph in to a
hypnotic rhythm. Along with his live sets the Dj sets are also full of some of the dirtiest and darkest
heart pounding Techno, no top 40 will ever make an appearance on his track list, interacting with
up to 4 decks running at the same time and a few drum machines it will make you wonder if a
third arm was present at the time.


2016 has been a game changer for Komprezzor traveling with his modular set up the creativity
flows from beginning to end no presets or patters are preprogrammed before the machines are
turned on, in a way he is merely a medium or translator to the cry of the machines, multiple synth
voices and drum machines interlacing into a one of a kind sound creating and stitching each
element form scratch right on front of the audience eye’s, the result is a fully improvised Techno
mayhem.

Sone is Seattle, Washington based DJ and producer Brian Sonnleitner. His first exploits into live music was being immersed in the underground punk scene in Wisconsin during the mid/late 90's. Fast forward to now, while keeping the same energy and ethos of his early experiences, Brian is a DJ of well over a decade with his sets trending towards the driving and tracky side of techno.

2008 brought Sone into the realm of production with his music exploring a stripped down but heavy sound. His original productions and remixes have received support from Ben Sims, Reggy van Oers, Joachim Spieth, Juho Kusti, TWR72, Soolee, and many others.  His tracks appear on his home label, From 0-1, which he runs with long time friend Milkplant; while surfacing on other labels such as Android Muziq,  Webuildmachines, Rheostatus, and Darknet.

  Brooklyn native John Massey has been attempting to damage eardrums for almost 20 years.  A child of the 80s, John transplanted to Los Angeles as a teen.  There he discovered an emerging underground dance scene and was infected with an interest in electronic music.  John soon founded Sound Rehab Productions, connected with influential local promoters and artists such as Omar Ojeda (Darius Aleksander), Robin Porter, Drumcell, Ron-D-Core, Raiz (Acid Circus) and began coordinating techno events and working the DJ circuit throughout the southern California area.  Today John resides in Seattle.
  John is the kind of unassuming artists that earns respect rather than demands it, keeping his head down and focusing on his craft, trusting his instincts to keep the dance floor moving.  His current set consists of a live/dj hybrid that enables John to creatively blend a wide variety of techno, house, minimal and experimental sounds.  As a producer John tackles a variety of sounds ranging from his previous hip hop efforts under Dysposable Heroes, to his recent techno projects under his own name and previously as Indispensable Villains.  Heʼs affiliated with Seattleʼs From 0-1, a conceptual label which he represents in his various endeavors.  Heʼs released on various labels such as HardSignal, Subspec, From 0-1, Subsensory and his own Sound Rehab Recordings.  No matter the genre he has always enjoyed working with various artists giving him the opportunity to make new friends and take in new influences.  With several new projects on horizon 2018 looks to be a productive year for John so keep look out...

Bristolian producer Decka is back on his Unterwegs Records imprint with three originals including a remix from PG TUNE boss Philipp Gorbachev.
First making noise in 2015 on Darwin’s Berlin label SPE:C with the 'Begyndelsen’ EP, Decka makes sound that journeys through bare-bones techno and bass, crafting hypnotic polyrhythmic patterns that look both to the big room industrial sound of the German Capital and the sub-low pressure rooted in his home city, Bristol. Decka’s Unterwegs imprint that he runs with The Lady Machine translates to ‘on the move’ correlating with the labels vision to expand upon the idea that music is forever changing, evolving into new territories. ‘Elimination Techniques’ sees Decka invite Russian producer Phillipp Gorbachev for a remix who is known for his flamboyant live sets and productions which can be found on labels such as Comeme and his own PG TUNE label.
‘Balancing Act’ begins proceedings with undulating toughness through beastly drums and shimmering bass growls before ‘Self Evasiveness’ offers up machine-like revolving synths and energising grooves that continue to drive throughout the duration.
On the flip, ‘Elimination Techniques’ lays focus on wavering modulations underneath surging dynamism keeping this peak-time cut flowing until Philipp Gorbachev’s VDNH remix of ‘Elimination Techniques’ moves into industrial territories featuring raw, throbbing kicks and whirling bleeps orbiting around growling synthesis fiercely rounding off this effervescent EP.
