AEGEAN is the first offering by Argentine producer and Leipzig resident Accanto.
His approach to mid tempo electronica is very rich in organic textures and deep atmospherics. The opening track Sentimental Sediments sounds deep, raw and dubby, a great opener for any set. Bokanovsky picks up the pace and brings in the sunshine uplifting vibes, while the title track Aegean completes the package with an exquisite progressive anthem that makes good use of a bass arpeggio to create a driving groove that will surely lift dancefloors to Cosmic dimentions. A must for Balearic lovers and adult ravers.

ACCANTO is Jorge Bonadeo Miguens, a young Argentine producer residing in Liepzig.
Born in 1990 in the city of Buenos Aires, his relationship with music started at an early age while digging the cassettes of his older brothers.
At the age of 13 he started playing bass guitar in a rock band with friends, with which he played in several halls and bars, as well as recorded a studio album.
Around 2012 Jorge got into the electronic music scene of Buenos Aires. After years of traveling and getting immersed in the scenes of his city, Sydney and Europe, he settled in Barcelona and started producing, while also performing as DJ.
Nowadays based in Germany, and after years of self knowledge and learning, he felt ready to share his music with the world.

The heathens and the outlaws are back with a bumper EP that gets down low and dirty.

As everyone knows, the best house music is kept simple and that is exactly what NZ and South Africa's Kennedy and Matt Prehn's have done. Le Freak takes a four bar disco sample and turns it inside out. Trippy vocals, wobbly sub and drums that pack a punch make this a go-to for late night basement sessions. 

J. Kara goes deep with analogue pads, delayed stabs, 808 bass and a broken tech beat. Add the soul and it's a track that cuts across genres, equally at home early doors in a warehouse or on a beach as the sun comes up.

Mexico's finest export Picotropico flips an 80s classic (the clue's in the title) into a Balearic monster. Added bass, percussion, synths plus a whole load of dance floor know-how serves up a rework that is super fresh.

Detroit and Japan meet as The Stooges' Mike Watt provide bass to the classic house sound of R-04. Close your eyes and you could be in the Sound Factory Bar as Frankie weaves his magic and drops this bomb.

Finally, the Hardway Brothers rinses The Secret Soul Society into a pitched down chugging masterpiece. It's head music for the dance floor that channels the spirit of the Guv'nor.  Ambient, industrial, techno and krautrock are all thrown into the mix to make something that defies categorisation.

Barcelona-based label Balearic Ensemble lands for the first time on our platform featuring the remixed versions of Residentes Balearicos' "Simplemente Cachonda", EP previously released in July. Gallo, LuVa (Lukkas + Da Silva, label owner), and Residentes themselves let the creativity juice flow wildly and freely to provide interesting (re)interpretations of the beautiful originals.

We were solicited to premiere Gallo’s remix, the man behind Berlin’s long-running Balearic club night Buena Onda. "His rework of 'Cachonda'", wrote Mikey Sibson on the PR text, "shuffles along a half-lit beachfront on the precipice between night and day, a low-slung beat carried through by an orchestra of warblers and songbirds soaking up the last rays of sunlight. A breezy, piano-led ode to life in the slow lane".

And we agree with Mikey: Gallo’s version does take you to places! While you listen to it, don’t forget to have in hand a cold beverage, preferably a gin tonic with a small slice of orange peel inside.

DC Promo Tracks #846: Kid Simius "300 Million Stars"

Attraktors are a power trio, currently residing in Nottingham. Bass player John Thompson is a veteran of the 2-Tone ska revival, having done stints with both Bad Manners and The Selector. He also spent time in Davy Henderson’s wonderful avant / art pop outfit, The Nectarine No. 9. James Flower was a founding member of post-rockers, Six By Seven, where he supplied saxophone and keys. Antony Hodgkinson previously beat the skins for Derby “alternatives”, Bivouac, and collaborated with Julian Cope. Their debut, self-titled LP was released to some acclaim in the press, on Ali Renault`s Vivod label, last summer. The set referencing influences such as Depeche Mode, Eno, Harmonia, Human League, and Kraftwerk. Ron Basejam, from live-wire festival favourites, Crazy P, has now remixed two choice cuts for Brighton`s Higher Love. 

Heavy Water rushes in on a siren-like synthetic fanfare, while dramatic, rattling percussion promises some kind of imminent lift-off. Mr. Basejam doesn’t disappoint, delivering a dynamite, deep, bottom-heavy chug, tested by depth-charge sonar blips. A menacing LFO arpeggio propelling the piece out onto the peak-time dancefloor. Its snarl softened slightly as Ron launches that fanfare once more. Moody, magnificent, body-moving, it drops down to a conga break, and then hits you with some real horns, before bringing that bolshy bastard of a beat back. 

Maximum Minimum initially subdues, suckers, listeners with a more serene start - one of cinematic synths, and kosmische squiggles. Counterpointing this gurgling gear with theremin sighs and epic keyboard arcs. Suddenly this is all then set running, racing, to a riot of rumbling motorik funk. Chunkily bass-ed, its punk edges are eventually buffed by pretty prog harmonies, as the track evolves into an opulent, vocoder-ed, expanse. A piano rolling and rolling, as that robotic voice readies you for ignition on this righteous cosmic rocket.

Inspired Balearic maestro James Bright returns to release action with the effortlessly spellbinding 'One Wish' EP Featuring Danish songstress MALO.

Bright has enjoyed a fruitful summer, with a selection of expertly crafted releases flying high in the sales charts while finding their way into the playlists of the most discerning selectors. His diligent production and knack for composing mesmerising soundscapes have seen him release music and remixes on venerated labels including Nang, Cafe Del Mar, Milk & Sugar, and NuNorthern Soul. In the process, he's garnered a growing list of admirers from disparate corners of the musical universe. With the sublime atmospherics of his 'Raise' collaboration with Zoe Devlin Love still echoing across the horizon, Bright once again graces the SVEVA MUSIC roster with his latest cultured productions. Infused with equal measures of cosmic allure and profound intention, the new EP presents four blissfully immersive tracks in a supremely coherent package.

James joins forces with Danish vocalist Malo on the poignant title track, 'One Wish'. The intricate backing track elegantly bubbles and broods as delicate textures caress the searingly honest lead vocal, with steady machine drums propelling the melancholy groove into discreetly undulating acid territory.

The infectious bass hook and driving twilight chords of 'Moonscape' are instantly memorable, soaring over chugging drums through thick delays and celestial strings. The wildly atmospheric track hypnotises as it evolves before its astrally-charged synth lead catapults the cut into stratospheric realms.

Saucer-eyed synth work combines with a subtle tribal aesthetic on the gorgeously spirited 'The Nameless'. Driving drums, vocal chants, and elastic leads coalesce with joyful marimba melodies, majestically conjuring the heat and exotic wonder of unfamiliar equatorial landscapes.

Finally, the subaquatic sonics of 'Neptune Blue' mystify as they gloriously intertwine, submerging the listener into azure waters before dancing synth patterns gracefully elevate the deeply-rooted track. Crisp drums, ethereal pads, and otherworldly refrains complete the complex tapestry, once again highlighting Bright's improbably refined attention to production detail.

After a brief lockdown-prompted hiatus - Duncan Forbes and his new  www.soundcloud.com/49north-recordings imprint, return for their 3rd outing... a 4-track EP, made up of 2 Duncan Forbes originals and a remix of each. One from the universally revered UK House & Techno don, Mr G; and the other courtesy of Pépe - without doubt one of the most in-demand artists on the underground right now.
The neon-lit, analogue House of 'Bluer Than Blue' kicks things off - it's liquid melodies and propulsive rhythm reeling you right in from the get-go.
'The Next Step' meanwhile, is a vast and sonoros, breakbeat-driven beast - chocked full of otherwordly atmosphere and an alluring sense of the mystical.
Close pal and DF collaborator - Mr G, then takes the shimmering, multi-color heart of 'Bluer Than Blue' and distills it down into one super-tight, bare-bones, swing-loaded roller; topped off with a seductive whispered vocal, skating rides and a perfectly-poised low-end lead.
That is before Pépe wraps things up with his unique spin on 'The Next Step'; for which he keeps the signature mood more or less intact - but brings a more euphoric, wide-eyed optimism to proceedings, as well as an inspired ethereal-meets-junglist central character.
