Hi everyone!
Wanted to share some of my latest thoughts through music with  you on the heels of Weekender and give some behind the scenes insight into my mindset when putting this mix together. It was very much off the cuff with a few hand picked tracks that had to make the cut.
Put together at 3am the other day, definitely with a lot of emotion after getting to spend a magical weekend at the gorge, with all of you! You may hear some familiar tracks from over the weekend that will hopefully have you traveling back in time and put you somewhere at the gorge.
One of my favorite things with making mixes is the little idiosyncrasies of how sometimes the tracks  tell a story just by the song titles. This one did just that and  just felt like it was a solemn tribute to life (hence the mix name as such).... Especially the last like half of the mix literally reads like a poem by way of the tracklist:

Just to hear you say
Maybe not 100% my most flawless execution of a mix (thanks brain for making me do this on little sleep at 3am 🤣) But it really is a story to be told.
It's a rather long mix but somehow, it also splits into 2 separate mixes exactly half way through....it's wild how everything came together with no pre-planning.
2hour 18minute mix, 1 hour 9 minutes in it becomes the true poem of life.  Get cozy and settle into one long listening session or break it into two different experiences
