Rovin is an upcoming techno DJ from Munich, who is now based in Berlin.

After his passion for fast and repetitive kick drums was sparked in local clubs like “Rote Sonne” and “MMA” he moved to Berlin to nurture a distinguishable DJ style.

His sets aim to illustrate his personal perception of techno music, which at it's core, is always fast and groovy with elements of 90s hardgroove and harddrive – always a recipe for dance floor mayhem!

from Pao Lys (aka Hidden Garden). Born/raised in London, and moved to the North of France in 2012. He became a resident of Soper Univers, one of the first Techno & House collectives of Lille, in 2013. This allowed him to play at various events in France, Spain and Belgium, with the likes of Kal, Viken Arman, Stimming, Jesper Ryom or Jorge Escribano. He released his first EP in 2015, titled "Isolated" on the Italian label North Dub Records (now known as Unknown Label), with remixes from Nici Frida, Fluvio Ruffert and A.Stig (aka Ile Degare). 

In 2016, he launched his own music collective, Distant Groove, with the ambition of promoting a specific sub-genre of deep Tech-House and melodic and minimal Techno. He hosted events with artists such as Mimi, Adema, Loquace, and Vid (aka Egal3). However, after releasing "Broken Universe" on the 6ème Sens Records VA in 2017, he decided to slow down, take a break on gigs, and focus on music production. 6 years later, he is back with a new passion for faster Techno and Trance melodies, encapsulated in his latest musical project: Pao Lys.

We are thrilled to announce the winners of our DJ contest! The feedback and participation were incredible, and each submission showcased a unique style and passion for music that made the judging process incredibly difficult. Out of the many talented DJs, we have chosen our top five: Bergmans, Glen Banks, Numa Nigoul, Bennet, and H4. Congratulations to them!

Now, it's time for the final round. We have uploaded the their sets to our SoundCloud channel. This is where you, the music enthusiasts and supporters, come in. We need your help in deciding the future headliner for our festival. The DJ set with the most likes on SoundCloud will secure the highly coveted slot at our upcoming festival.

Spikey Lee grew up in the 90s with a love for house and techno music, influenced by his parents. Now a resident DJ at Hamburg's Kinky Sunday's at PAL, he travels through Europe spreading his passion for electronic music. With a mix of 90s techno, hard house, and more, Spikey Lee keeps the dance floor moving with his storytelling music.

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: Can you remember your first DJ gig?
𝙎𝙋𝙄𝙆𝙀𝙔: My first DJ gig was a very spontaneous one. The promoter of a club had a gap of 30 minutes on the main floor and asked me to fill it up. I was super nervous, but it directly did taste like more!

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: Would you ever move away from Amsterdam?
𝙎𝙋𝙄𝙆𝙀𝙔: This is actually a question that I ask myself so many times… Would I? For now no, because I am really happy here and I have my chosen family around me. But in the future I am dreaming of cabin in the middle of nature. But first I would need a driving license for that.

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: Are there any stories about being confused with Spike Lee?
𝙎𝙋𝙄𝙆𝙀𝙔: I like this question. Actually no, but my name is inspired by the director Spike Lee. My parents wanted an American sounding name for me and they got inspired by his name and changed Spike Lee into Spikey Lee.

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: A favorite place in Rotterdam or Amsterdam you can recommend?
𝙎𝙋𝙄𝙆𝙀𝙔: I have a favorite spot in Amsterdam in summer which is called ‘Oeverlanden’. When the weather allows me, I go there early in the morning with my book and some snacks and just relax there in the sun all day and swim now and then to cool off. Otherwise my favorite place to walk through with the dog is Prinseneiland. It’s a hidden treasure (till now) where there are only locals around.

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: In 2018 there were almost no tattoos on your body. What happened?
𝙎𝙋𝙄𝙆𝙀𝙔: Hahaha, well noticed! I got inspired and I once I started. I couldn’t stop. There were days I made an appointment to do 3 tattoo’s at the time. I’m super happy I did this, because the artist who did most of my tattoos just left out of the blue right after the whole covid era. And he was amazing!

𝙑𝙎𝙇𝙆: Any goals for 2025?
𝙎𝙋𝙄𝙆𝙀𝙔: 2025 still feels far away, but I’m affraid time flies. Since 2 years I try to not set goals anymore since I wanna be more in the present and not feel like: ‘What is next!?’. Cuz I’ve always done that, also in my dancing career and that came with a lot of insecurity and I lost passion there cuz I was to focused on the future. But I have to say.. I’m in the middle of learning more about producing and would love release something next year.

Overall the type of beats to turn not only a frown, but also a club upside down. Utilizing this skill, DJ Frank has played in notable venues. With her collective @prude__ she hosts events and offers DJ-Workshops, setting out to become any techno-scene-gatekeeper's worst nightmare.

vanpana is a DJ, producer and radio host based in Copenhagen, who is curating and mixing high-energy music, creating dynamic sets and showcasing an unique sound. From hypnotic basslines and driving percussion to mind bending synth melodies and atmospheric soundscape, the selection of tracks will keep you grooving during the journey. With tracks released on major underground labels such as OBSCUUR and Deeptakt, vanpana's productions are steadily building a presence in the electronic music community.
