BIO:

Trevor Brandt’s passion for music began as a child in church, where he witnessed the intrinsic connection between community and music, and how music can lead to emotionally transformative experiences. Later, he moved to California, where he played in bands and was introduced to electronic music and DJing. He became so obsessed with it that he dragged his desktop computer to house parties, mixing using a mouse and keyboard.

Soon, he became enamored with music production, relishing the opportunity to fully express himself and his creative visions. He organized local events and was drawn to underground electronic music and its potential to evoke emotionally transformative experiences in a new kind of church—the dance floor. His love for music has always been rooted in its ability to connect us deeply with ourselves and bring people together. His productions reflect that sense of emotional transformation, characterized by beautiful, ethereal melodies and driving, hypnotic rhythms.

Currently residing in San Francisco, he recently started the “From Dust” project, inspired by the idea that everything comes from nothingness, including ourselves. Through this project, he explores the notion that we choose our meaning and can discover significance through the act of creation. It serves as a message of humility in the face of ego, reminding us that we came from dust and, while we briefly hold this form, we will one day return to dust.
