Jam 125 Melodic Techno Studio Jam - Fun with analog

Lots of stacked synths and a pretty decent hard kick. That's a win in my book. Very much enjoyed the process and outcome.

Jam 126 Melodic Hardtechno Studio Jam - Lots of synths

I was never a 'mic guy'. I thought the immortal Shure SM58 would be just fine. But with more and more recordings with Inge, I decided to invest a little more in a large diaphragm mics. Lewitt seemed a good option, so I opted for the Ray.

Man what a difference. No hate for the SM58, but it feels like we recorded everything with a blanket over it. The Lewitt is so clear and Inge's voice shines through. Another lesson learned.

Another run with the new mic, I'm still really happy with the results. We try some Dutch lyrics from time to time. This translate to "touch me".

Jam 128 Melodic Analog Techno feat Inge - Raak me aan

I was in a bit of a rush on recording day, but it still came out fine. Some elements could have used a little more refinement and change / modulation.

It's just a nice calm track with a nice deep flow to it. Never really stopping, never really peaking. Good old sunday afternoon techno. 

Jam 129 Melodic Analog Techno Jam - Deep and calm

This was the second time I switched the Elektron Analog Rytm MKII on, just on whatever kit was loaded. I did a bit of sounddesign and created the patterns, nothing too fancy (yet). It plays really well with the rest.

Jam 131 Melodic Analog techno Jam - Siren Song (Open Arms) feat Inge

This one had a really nice vibe to it. Dreamy sequences layered with your more straightforward synths in the middle. All with a hard hitting beat and lots of drums layers.

Jam 133 Melodic Techno Analog Studio Jam - Somewhere feat. Inge

A bit more straightforward but nontheless a pretty cool result I think. The beats work, the synths work, the Malevolent delivers a beautiful arp and the Moog Sub37 can do these raw drones.
