<p>Next up on Phobiq comes a special deal on Void remixes. First are the Spanish duo Gabriel DOr and Bordoy and from the very first minute you realize this track cannot get much more techno than this. Using a heavy bassline mixed up nicely with subtle sounds and effects. Macromism remix is next and It starts with some crisp beats and a gritty bassline takes control making this production really nasty. As last is Alex Costa and it comes to the table with another devastating bassline featuring solid effects and a bit more bouncy percussive elements keeping a good vibe throughout. After the huge success of the original from Sasha Carassi and Mikael Jonasson few months ago, this release coming out with three twisted productions, ready to rock again every dancefloor.</p>

The third track on the Black Moon EP is for all those who have learned to appreciate BLACK ASTEROID´s flawless blend of uncompromising Techno. “Freeze” is another milestone production, a manifestation of the outstanding skills of this experienced sound designer who started his career as the engineer of Prince and who later formed the critically acclaimed duo MOTOR. The final mix-downs were done together with Chris Liebing at his state of the art studio in Frankfurt, guaranteeing the same sonic brilliance we are used to from all recent CLR releases.

Black Asteroid - Freeze

Its been a busy time for Rob Hes since his last appearance on SCI+TEC just over a year ago. His EP ‘The Prophecy’ kicked off a strong run of releases that’s seen him feature on Tronic, ELEVATE, KD Raw and a debut with Josh Wink’s Ovum Recordings. Today the Dutchman returns to SCI+TEC with his latest wares and shows he’s learnt even more ’Tricks of The Trade’.

The cavernous feeling of the title track envelops the listener while its echoing gong and rolling bassline create its fierce groove. Rob ramps things on ‘Who’s The Wolf’, with its sinister synths devastating drive, before we’re treated to the bouncing single note melody and fantastic finalé of ‘The Greater Good’. 

With ‚Tricks of The Trade’ Rob rolls out another SCI+TEC smash confirming, as if it were needed, just why he’s one of the hottest and most in demand producers of today.

Seroplexx - Dead Rat

It’s hard to believe Senso Sounds has only been around for five years, such is the frequency and quality of their release schedule. Now with over 50 transmissions under the belt, Oliver Huntemann’s home for precision techno has set a high bar for the rest of the pack. Fittingly, the label has chosen to celebrate the 5 year milestone with a series of events around Europe, and this stellar compilation from some of the key artists around the label. 5Y Senso Sounds contains 10 new, exclusive tracks, and provides the perfect calling card for the label’s ethos.

Kicking things off is label boss Oliver Huntemann with 'Concorde' - a typically taught, growling slice of dancefloor gear. The urgent-yet-funky percussion and modulated chord stabs provide the drama, a Huntemann signature that sets the tone for the rest of the compilation. 

Longtime Senso collaborator André Winter also brings the heat - his 'Carte Noire' is hard as nails, featuring dystopian detuned synth lines and diamond-hard beats. 

Carlo Ruetz has also been a regular on the label, unleashing a string of tremendous techno heaters - matched here by his contribution 'Thunder.' 

Shaded (aka Skyler Taugher) also brings his A game, with a trippy, lean burner intriguingly titled 'I Got Haters'.

Next up is one of Russia’s top producers - Maksim Dark - another jewel in the crown of Senso. His 'Mega Pulse' is a driving, powerful track with a tripped out slo-mo vocal and a churning acidic, rave synth. The second half of the album maintains the intensity
and quality. 
Hidden Empire contribute 'Time Goes By', a chugging, psychedelic groover with plenty of attitude. 

The Brazilian Alex Stein also goes for the jugular with 'Turmoil' - a forthright banger with layers of ravey weirdness to mess with the heads of the dancefloor faithful.

Hamburg based DJ and producer Hatzler goes in even harder - 'Almandin' being a tense, pressurised techno weapon. Distale has dropped a few excellent releases on Senso previously, and his 'Hooka' doesn’t disappoint either - lazer sharp beats underlie layers of melodic and rhythmic washes.

Last but by no means least, Aitor Ronda from Barcelona, (a second spiritual home for Senso), provides one of the many highlights on the release. His 'Hunter Moon' is both subtle and devastating in equal
measures - a fitting testament to the Senso sound.

Italian techno imprint Unrilis returns with a brand new single from the heavyweight pairing of Markantonio and Roberto Capuano, featuring two sterling remixes from Luigi Madonna..Rino Cerrones Rilis and Unrilis labels have been a staple of the techno landscape for over a decade now, releasing searing, floorfilling music from Cerrone and some of the scenes leading lights. Now Unrilis looks again to techno heavyweight Markantonio for its latest single, a single that sees the Neapolitan DJ/producer team up with young production talent Roberto Capuano who has already had such success on labels such as Analytic Trail & Driving Forces.This new EP opens with Pearl a superbly hypnotic, pulsing techno workout that fuses rumbling bass tones with skittering percussion to create the base for the intense synth stabs that rise from the mix, quality stuff. Pearl is followed by the second of the two original tracks Gem, which is a fitting title for this outstanding piece of techno: deep and aggressive, the track layers white noise over an industrial soundtrack to come up with a no holds barred record that ticks all the right boxes.The EP is completed with two remixes of Pearl from fellow Italian producer Luigi Madonna, a man who has been making a solid name for himself with releases on Marco Baileys MB Elektronics, Hawtins Plus 8 and Adam Beyer Drumcode to name but a few. First up we get the Club mix that sees Luigi in full flight, dropping a version of Pearl that is haunting and mesmerizing in equal measure, this is followed by the Dub mix where things go deeper into the abyss, with a mix that strips things back and takes the listener beyond the realms of light.Unrilis have another sterling release on their hands, delivered by some of italys best techno producers, enjoy!

After recently making his debut on Pan-Pot’s Second State, Amsterdam based producer Tahko makes his way onto Secret Cinema’s Gem Records imprint. His double A-sided EP for the Dutch label is one of the must-hear techno releases of the month. 

Tahko is exploding onto the international techno scene with gigs at Tresor, Tomorrowland and Welcome To The Future Festival. His productions are on-point which is catching the ear of A&R’s and paving his way to becoming a top producer. 

With Gem Records set to release EPs by Oliver Lieb and Secret Cinema over the next few months, these are heady times for a label that continues to be rewarded for its consistent and innovative approach to contemporary electronic music.
