Carlo Ruetz makes his debut on Oliver Huntemann's Senso Sounds with The Trick EP - further evidence of his increasing mastery of tough, thrilling Techno. The Rostock born DJ and producer found a wider audience in 2013 after receiving support from Richie Hawtin and subsequently releasing on MINUS - and here he flexes his production muscles once again.
'Trick' is an acidic tinged banger - a ferocious dancefloor workout for prime time whatever the location. 'Artefact' is another example of Ruetz’s control over dynamics - the track containing
several moments of high intensity that raises the temperature, yet maintaining a spacey, minimal vibe. 'Divided Universe' is another hard-hitter - a driving rhythm accompanied by laser-like melodic
flourishes and menacing atmospheres. 'Resoflash' keeps up the releases’ tough and funky vibe - a killer rolling bassline and firing percussion deliver the heat.

Italian techno imprint Unrilis returns with a brand new single from the heavyweight pairing of Markantonio and Roberto Capuano, featuring two sterling remixes from Luigi Madonna..Rino Cerrones Rilis and Unrilis labels have been a staple of the techno landscape for over a decade now, releasing searing, floorfilling music from Cerrone and some of the scenes leading lights. Now Unrilis looks again to techno heavyweight Markantonio for its latest single, a single that sees the Neapolitan DJ/producer team up with young production talent Roberto Capuano who has already had such success on labels such as Analytic Trail & Driving Forces.This new EP opens with Pearl a superbly hypnotic, pulsing techno workout that fuses rumbling bass tones with skittering percussion to create the base for the intense synth stabs that rise from the mix, quality stuff. Pearl is followed by the second of the two original tracks Gem, which is a fitting title for this outstanding piece of techno: deep and aggressive, the track layers white noise over an industrial soundtrack to come up with a no holds barred record that ticks all the right boxes.The EP is completed with two remixes of Pearl from fellow Italian producer Luigi Madonna, a man who has been making a solid name for himself with releases on Marco Baileys MB Elektronics, Hawtins Plus 8 and Adam Beyer Drumcode to name but a few. First up we get the Club mix that sees Luigi in full flight, dropping a version of Pearl that is haunting and mesmerizing in equal measure, this is followed by the Dub mix where things go deeper into the abyss, with a mix that strips things back and takes the listener beyond the realms of light.Unrilis have another sterling release on their hands, delivered by some of italys best techno producers, enjoy!

Of course, none of this would have been possible without our family of artists. Artists like Dachshund, Daniel Dreier, David Delgado, Guido Schneider, Jens Bond, Markus Homm, Mihai Popoviciu, Noah Pred, Prompt, Tom Clark, Todd Bodine entstehen und entstanden immer wieder wunderbare Synergien mit Künstlern, wie Aldo Cadiz und Marcelo Rosselot, Andomat3000, Andri, Anthony Collins, Benno Blome, Bloody Mary, Dan Ghenacia, David K, Deepchild, Demir & Seymen, Fabrizio Maurizi, Ilario Alicante, Jacob Phono, Kim Kemi, Luca Doobie, Ludwig Coenen, Marc Antona, Marcos In Dub, Mikael Stavostrand, Nico Lahs, Ray Okpara, Sasse, Shonky, Simon Beeston, Tigerskin and many, many more.

Over the years there have been such a wide variety of releases that it would be pointless to talk about genre boundaries, and better to focus on musical highlights and individuality. It was always important at Highgrade to introduce and develop new artists, like these days with David Delgado or Luca Torre. Whether it’s deep house grooves or blistering techno loops, the label mirrors the sound of the city and still find fans from far further away than Berlin’s boarders. Todd Bodine, Tom Clark and Mariana Luzardo have brought the label this far, where it is now after an astounding 13 years in action. 

The figures, facts and names are impressive enough by themselves. But 13 years at a record label must be heard, and therefore we have packaged up 15 new gems from our acts into a little birthday compilation for you. On 17th June the jubilee album will be exclusively available on Beatport. From the 1st July it will also be available on all other music platforms worldwide.

Über die Jahre ist so ein großes Release-Spektrum entstanden, das sich nicht um Genregrenzen schert, sondern einzig um musikalische Highlights und Individualität. Immer war es Highgrade dabei wichtig neue Künstler zu fördern wie gerade David Delgado oder Luca Torre. Ob deepe House Grooves oder knisternde Techno Loops, das Label bestimmt den Sound der Stadt mit und fand auch weit über ihre Grenzen hinaus seine Fans. Todd Bodine, Tom Clark und Mariana Luzardo haben das Label dahin gebracht, wo es jetzt nach wahnsinnigen 13 Jahren steht.

Die Zahlen, Fakten und Namen wirken schon beeindruckend. Aber 13 Labeljahre muss man einfach hören, deswegen haben wir eine kleine Geburtstags-Kompilation für euch geschnürt auf der 15 neue Perlen unserer Acts zu hören sind. Am 17. Juni wird das Jubiläumswerk exklusiv bei Beatport erscheinen. Ab dem 1. Juli wird es dann auch auf allen andern Plattformen verfügbar sein.
