They say the best things come to those who wait. It’s been a year since Matador delivered the incredible Zoles EP but fever pitch anticipation from the techno community is rewarded not once but twice as Ireland’s global powerhouse delivers a slew of new productions that spills over into two packed EPs for Minus! The first wrapping up a stellar 2014 for the label and the second coming out as Spring starts to shine in March 2015.

It’s impossible to pick just one highlight from this 11 track odyssey of trademark Matador mind music. Just like a Matador live set, get locked into the first beat and follow the path right to the end. Enjoy the peaks and swirls and get lost within the beats. Road tested worldwide by the man himself and by Minus godfather Richie Hawtin, this package leaves nothing to chance on the dancefloor. As if this double EP couldn’t be better news for patient techno fans, word has it that there may well be more to follow from the Irish underground hero. Watch this space!

MINUSmin33 : Matador - The Doghouse

He returns to Dennis Ferrer's Objektivity imprint for 'Battery Park' and we've got a premiere of the title track. If you're EP is getting supported by the likes of Dixon, Âme, Dennis Ferrer, Tensnake, Adriatique and Hot Since 82 then you're doing something right.

The track is every DJ's dream. It features a killer groove, sharp yet melodic synths and builds that are going to have any crowd salivating for the drop. It's a wicked track and one you should check immediately.

For the BIRD EP, Julian Jeweil chose to use heavy sounds: mechanical yet melodic at the same time, while maintaining in parallel this pumping, very rhythm-oriented vibe for each of the five tracks. These are mainly the specific elements, reworked in various manners, that you will find in BIRD, AND WE, 153 ESSEX STREET, WAX and CONCEPT.

Modul Art makes his debut on Minus, with a highly varied EP.

The first track of the EP "Anubis" is clearly oriented to the dance floor, with its recurring techno rhythm and melody.
Accompanied throughout by African percussion and a lead which gives its Egyptian side to the track.

The Second track "The Hiding Of The Beast" is a really special piece, dark atmosphere and offbeat rhythm gives a trashy side but softened by the emergence of synth.
The bass line is constantly evolving to become increasingly more powerful.

The third track "Smoking Shoes" is more oriented tech house.
The bass on several tones gives a joyful and dancing side.
While the synths will reveal a darker feeling.

The fourth track "Can You Feel The Darkness"close this EP in beauty.
Dark atmosphere , techno rhythm, acidulous synth and powerful bass.

Carlo Ruetz makes his debut on Oliver Huntemann's Senso Sounds with The Trick EP - further evidence of his increasing mastery of tough, thrilling Techno. The Rostock born DJ and producer found a wider audience in 2013 after receiving support from Richie Hawtin and subsequently releasing on MINUS - and here he flexes his production muscles once again.
'Trick' is an acidic tinged banger - a ferocious dancefloor workout for prime time whatever the location. 'Artefact' is another example of Ruetz’s control over dynamics - the track containing
several moments of high intensity that raises the temperature, yet maintaining a spacey, minimal vibe. 'Divided Universe' is another hard-hitter - a driving rhythm accompanied by laser-like melodic
flourishes and menacing atmospheres. 'Resoflash' keeps up the releases’ tough and funky vibe - a killer rolling bassline and firing percussion deliver the heat.
