Hailing from Stockholm, the Berlinette-by-choice has taken her own sweet time to rise to the attention of ravers around the globe, and her body of work makes it clear that she has come to stay. 

Fueled by diverse musical influences and guided by a strong as impeccable sense of aesthetics, madwoman has developed a sound very own to no one but herself. Inspired by bits and pieces of seemingly unconnected styles like Metal and Opera, Trip-Hop and Psychedelic Rock, she has found a way to incorporate all the above and more, to make them her own, to build something new.

Where others see differences, she sees similarities, where others make distinctions, she finds connections, where others see emptiness, she feels rooms full of opportunities. 

Set in order by her vast creative mind, all her influences molded together and created a heavy artillery of sonic weapons aimed directly at the dancefloor. Her highly energetic up-tempo beat, interfused with heavy Industrial bits, blended with obscure sounds from beyond, manages to create atmospheres like no other. madwoman incites the rawest, purest form of rave on any dancefloor, and she enjoys it to the fullest.

Greyscale’s Mood Series welcomes Rothchord from Japan for its 124th release, Night Sinking, a 5-track journey into deep, hypnotic soundscapes. Rothchord's intricate production focuses on the effects of sound on the mind and emotions, all while maintaining a delicate balance in each composition.
'Convection of Consciousness' opens with a mid-tempo groove, slowly building anticipation as its alternating chords weave an addictive, hypnotic pattern. The clean production enhances the track’s captivating flow. 'Perspective' takes a dub techno approach, incorporating elements of house music. Its stabbing chords are perfectly paired with shimmering aquatic effects, making it one of the catchiest tracks on the release. The title track, 'Night Sinking,' dives deeper, offering a more spacious and minimal arrangement. Its crisp production creates an abyss-like atmosphere, with just the right amount of echo on the chords, exemplifying the "less is more" philosophy. 'Memory' showcases the heaviest bassline, deeply rooted in dub. The track’s echoing effects intensify towards the end, leaving a lasting impression, as though testing the listener’s memory. Label boss Stefano Noferini and Hollen team up for the the monstrous "Rediscovered", which fires on all cylinders with steamrolling drums, massive synth washes and commanding stabs. Miguel Bastida steps up for the remix and strips things down quite a bit, with a sticky bassline filling in the gaps between the bubbling rhythm section, yet adding a lengthy breakdown for added suspense and excitement.

Continuing UK producer Cleric's double-header on Figure, Figure 65 offers up 4 more brand new tracks from the sought after young talent. Following on from his wonderfully diverse collection of tracks on Figure 64, Cleric's skills continue to shine in this second chapter.

After a beautifully sensitive chord-led introduction in the form of 'Shifted Reality', showing off some rare after-hours vibes from the Cleric studio, we hit the peak time once again with 'Plexus'. A stripped and perfectly balanced moment of percussive DJ Tool glory, all we need are claps, Kicks and FX to get the room working overtime!

Old school killer 'Seit 1990' graces the B2 position with an addictive bleep-fest in the true spirit of underground, warehouse Techno... Simply a must have for the purist minimal heads out there, and the new breed alike.

Cleric closes out the EP with a mesmerising down-tempo composition entitled 'Dissapointment'. Its a touching ode to early 90s Electronics, and it will be no surprise to some that the Northern English producer shows his true colours on this wonderfully atypical track - echoes of Warp there to be found if desired.

Renowned for his ability to bring creativity and flair to his wild remixes, edits and re-edits, Riva Starr is a hugely welcome new addition into the Saved fold. The “Anti-Normal” EP is inspired by moments that happen at parties and clubs. The moment when the vibe is so intense that your skin tingles (Anti-Normal). The moment when everything feels a bit...weird (No Sitting). The moment when your friend gets lost in the party and starts acting a little ridiculous (It’s Fucking Bumping in Here, Dude). The moment when you lose your ego in a pitch-black warehouse (Aphotic). And finally, the moment when you fall in love… and the moment when it all goes wrong (Dancing With A Demon).

Darkly lush at times, and mischievously playful at others, the EP pays homage to classic Detroit techno while remaining fresh, modern and unique. Through careful synthesis, Asher has crafted an otherworldly soundscape, ensuring that the individual personalities of each layer are distinctively showcased. The breakdowns are meditative, playfully embracing the absence of sound. The sparsity often gives the illusion of an alteration in rhythm, causing the listener to feel as though they are free falling. When the intensity returns, a sonic adrenaline rush fills the dance floor with a feeling of absolute euphoria.

In Asher’s words, “Anti-Normal, more than a synonym for abnormal, describes an active aversion to normalcy. In my experience, the best people are those who confidently enjoy their own quirks… Those who aren’t afraid to be looked at as a little different. Especially within the world of dance music, I think it’s important to push the envelope as far as possible, both musically and otherwise.”

The result is a masterfully crafted atmospheric glacial dub techno journey from beginning to the end. Transparent Thoughts EP includes, apart from the original, an astonishing home-brewed remixes by Matt Thibideau's project Altitude and by Thor himself. Altitude mix is deep, and has some serious dub treatment but still packing nice punch for the dance floor. Thor brings his signature sound to his rework; full of heavy dub-techno influences and a mix of techno and deep house beats. Essential for the serious vinyl-jockey. Thule Records is considered by many to be a pioneers in the field of dub-influenced techno music and was a starting point for many of Iceland's most renowned electronic musicians
