Since then, Amsterdam duo Homework (comprised of Zip & Tom) got catapulted into the International house scene through the release of their widely supported 'Fissa Tune EP' on the Berlin imprint Exploited, and the accompanying hype surrounding the title track 'Fissa Tune', which, through consistent appraisal from the likes of Brodinski and Jesse Rose, found its way to many a chart and DJ set. Now with an ever-expanding catalogue of productions (Remixes for Round Table Knights and guest-releases on Made to Play and Riva Starr’s Snatch! Label), touching on different sentiments and styles, and a snowballing effect on their side, the two are reaching for ever greater highs and traveling from Berlin's Panoramabar to Paris' Social Club and everything in between. The critically acclaimed 'Hudson Square EP' came out earlier this year on Exploited and went beyond what they had laid out with their previous productions, exploring the soulful&discofied sides of house music and proving once again that Homework will never cling too long to one style or genre. ’I’m Into This’ is a dedication to DJs worldwide who are doing just that (!) featuring one of Moodymann's inpromptu DJ set speeches. ’Whipped Cream’ and ’Hold Me Tight’ are nice looped out discoey house jams. Now, the upcoming ’Hudson Square Remix EP’ contains more functional club-mixes by Andre Crom (Off) & Martin Dawson (Crosstown Rebels/Moodmusic), Phil Weeks (Robsoul), Superlover (Kassette Records/Autist), Darabi (Get the Curse), Canadian newcomer Michael Gracioppo and Homework (Exploited) themselves. Following on from last year’s Bump It EP, Sammy W Tobus join musical
forces once again, this time with a fiery three-part offering for Hot Creations.
Acid Terrace opens the EP - a rumbling roller that cuts a fierce groove
complimented by intriguing vocal samples. Shake It plunges in full power with its
heavy-hitting bassline and rhythmic beat. Closing the package, Jam Tight is a funky
number that chops and blends vocals alongside pads, adding classic house
elements that create a solid, dancefloor burner.

The pairing of Sammy W & Tobus first came to our attention back in 2011. Their
fresh approach to DJ sets has garnered support from some of the scene’s top DJs.
They seamlessly blend and blur the lines between genres, creating their own sound
using elements of tech-house, funk and hip-hop. They’ve released music on 8bit,
Repopulate Mars, Roush, Mr. Nice Guy, Brock Wild, as well as running their own
labels Tobus X and Tobus Limited.
