Dystopia je refleksija današnje družbe, zablojenosti človeškega sistema v katerem živimo. Zaslepljeni se iščemo v praznosti kapitalističnih nazorov, po katerih je posameznik le suženj kolesja brezosebnosti in ta nam nudi le poti v obup, revščino in stiske. Nasprotje je utopija, sen idealnega sveta, kot raj ali popolnost. Ljudje iz svojega bistva iščemo lepoto in ker jo namesto v sebi iščemo zunaj sebe, se dogajajo stvari kot so vojne, revščina in lakota.
