Es war einmal ein Tag im Januar 2013, genauer gesagt
vor 50 Wochen und 6 Tagen... ODER 356 Tagen... 

Oder wie ich sagen würde: "Vor 0,974695698 Jahren" 

... als ich das erste Mal TRAKTOR von Native Instruments in die Finger bekam. 
Anfangs blickte ich skeptisch auf diese absolut fremde Benutzeroberfläche, welche für mich ein Buch mit sieben Siegeln war. So viele Knöpfe und Fader, Regler und Tasten. Dann auch noch die zwei Decks, die, anders als bei Virtual DJ, nicht übereinander, sondern nebeneinander lagen. Wie sollte man da erkennen ob zwei Tracks syncron laufen? Ich fragte mich ernsthaft ob ich das jemals begreifen werde.
Doch all das Jammern half nichts und so stellte ich mich der Herausforderung und bereue bis heute keinen Schritt den ich gemacht habe. Eher bereue ich es die Schritte, welche ich mich nie machen traute!

… aber aller Anfang ist schwer... 

Das Noten für mich damals nur rote Zahlen auf einer Schularbeit waren verwundert mich heute etwas. Während ich in der Schulzeit einen Hass gegenüber Musikinstrumenten entwickelte, stand ich doch schon als dreijähriger Zwerg begeistert vor dem CASIO Keyboard meines Großvaters, welcher dies selbst leidenschaftlich gerne spielte und zudem ein begnadeter Akkordeonspieler war.
Auch ich spielte Akkordeon. Eigentlich spielte das Akkordeon mit mir. Denn das Teil war nur wesentlich kleiner als ich. Und wenn die Zeit noch reichte trötete ich seltsame Töne aus einer Hohner Melodica, lutschte begeistert das Chrom von der Mundharmonika und zwickte mir unzählige Male die Lippen in der Maultrommel ein. Später kam dann noch eine weitere Auseinandersetzung mit einem Hackbrett hinzu.

Und so vergingen etliche Jahre bis ich wieder die Liebe zur Musik entdeckte. Genauer gesagt 17. 
Ich kaufte mir eine Gitarre und brachte mir das Spielen selber bei. Selbstverständlich lernte ich die Griffe auswendig. Noten sind ja die komischen roten Zahlen :D

Des weiteren prägte mich immer mehr die elektronische Musik. Doch der „Discoshit“ ging mir schon lang auf die Nerven. Einzige Lösung? GENAU! Selbst is der Mann!
Das damalige Equipment, ein fünf Jahre altes "Hercules eCAFÉ EC-800 10,1“ Netbook mit 
(JAAA, ich gebe es zu) einer gecrackten Version von 'Virtual DJ Pro7' sowie einem "Hercules MP3 e2" Midi-Controller OHNE integriertem Interface war nicht gerade die HighEnd Ausrüstung, doch sie war das Mittel zum Zweck und somit auch der Anfang.

Mitlerweile gibt es nebst Akkordeon, Keybord, Melodica, Maultrommel, Mundharmonika und Gitarre auch noch Plattenspieler, MIDI Controller und Mischpult.


Irgendwann holt dich die Vergangenheit eben wieder ein. 

Ich möchte in diesem Sinne nun ALLEN Freunden, ehemaligen Nachbarn und Mitbewohnern, meinen Haustieren, meinem Vermieter, meiner EX und GANZ BESONDERS MEINER FAMILIE, allen voran meiner Mom, für diese durchaus wilde, laute, peinliche und unbeschreibliche Zeit danken! Ohne die letztere wäre ich ja nicht mal auf dieser Welt.

Danke an alle die meine Set's hören, an alle Liker, Follower, Moralapostel, Veranstalter und Lokführer, die viel mit mir durchmachen mussten.

P.S.: Wer wissen will wie es ist, ohne Kopfhörer mit Virtual DJ unbekannte Tracks zu mischen, den werde ich mit verbundenen Augen über ein Mienenfeld jagen!

The native of Frankfurt began at the tender age of 15 years to deal with electronic music.
At that time, we write the year 2001, only danceable House- and Dancebeats flowed through his ear canal.

The love of Techno, Minimal and Deep House he developed in 2010.
"I have to try something else, it all sounds the same to"
said Carsten and was blown away by that it is not so good so far known genre.
His biggest gig has the '87er in July 2006, where he was playing not far away of his home on a OpenAir in front of 400 guests revelers. "At that time, I've become fear and worry," said Carsten. "Actually, I was only a guest there when someone called suddenly: "Carsten, can you play? Us jumped off a DJ!"
I said: "Yeah I can. Explain to me the technique and I play!"
There were only 1.5 hours left until the doors were opened.
And he played, and played, and played... 'TILL THE SUN COMES UP!'
