Introducing new kid on the block, EKSTR. After making dubstep for only a couple of years, he continues steadily improving his craft. With releases last year on labels such as LDH Records, 786 and the Belgian label Bassin Records, he's slowly been making moves.
With exciting projects locked in for 2022-2023 already (including collabs with some of the most promising names in the genre), expect an impressive year for Ekstr, filled with good music on some of the best and biggest labels out there.
At this event, expect him to bring a big bag of released and unreleased tunes to shake up the dancefloor. This means a wide variety of dubstep, from dubby delays to deep and dark wubs and wobs.

@argosounds has been a stable member of EA as well as a close friend for as long as the label has been around. One of the original 10. 

During COVID in 2019 we started talking to Argo to write an album. Whilst the album work was coming together, unfortunately he suffered the loss of his father.
What happened was the album was actually pencilled to be out in 2020/21.  Quickly this spiralled into an artist's well needed escape and Arnaud and I spoke at length about maybe putting his emotions into the music and not thinking of the album. (AT THIS POINT) the Album was off and I truly would of done anything to help Arny out.

Fast forward to June 2022 and Arny sends us 45 tracks wrote from that time Period and asked for us to work on pulling an Album from it. (AT THIS POINT) Album on!

What then followed was 3 months of listening and whittling down the list. I think we had some trillion messages trying to sort this.
Truly this task was the hardest that I think any of us thought about anyones music.

After more than 20 releases, it can be said that Frozen Plates is a well-established dubstep record label and brand. The imprint aims to keep the physical format alive and vital, while keeping underground music resolutely for the underground. Frozen Plates has been strongly supported by leading dubstep curator duo Deep Tempo, whilst having been nominated for “Best New Label” honors in 2020. All FZP releases are highly rated and regarded in the global dubstep community, and among vinyl collectors the world over.




Peter Kovacs 又名FrozenDub（凍配音），是一位來自匈牙利東部的專業考古學家，但他更樂意自稱為音樂癮君子。

他認為真正的dubstep從未成為主流音樂，dubstep的核心族群ㄧ直都是地下音樂的死忠派。

他執著於深沉，黑暗，tribal音樂元素，蒐藏ㄧ些些簡樸的黑膠，收集的網路數位音樂更是蔚為可觀。當他開始玩dubstep時，他決定使用真正的地下曲目，並用網路freebies來豐富他的set。在印尼待了一年之後，他調整了放歌風格，並使用tribal及深沉的元素讓他的playlist更豐富多元。

來到台北之後，他與志同道合的bass死忠派交朋友。透過FrozenDub，他的同名部落格，他積累了一批忠實的讀者和聽眾。

Péter Kovács aka FrozenDub 冻配音 is a professional archaeologist and self-avowed music junkie from east Hungary. He is of the opinion that dubstep has never been mainstream, and that the dubstep massive, at its very core, remains firmly underground.

He prefers deep, dark and tribal sounds, and owns a humble vinyl collection as well as a sizable freebie selection. When he started playing dubstep he decided to use real underground tracks, with occasional freebies to round out his sound.

After one year in Indonesia he revised his style and enriched his playlist with tribal and meditative elements. Currently he finds himself in Taipei, making friends with likeminded bass heads. And via FrozenDub, his blog of the same name, he’s amassed a coiterie of faithful readers and listeners.
