This summer is extremely hot, but Frozen Plates are still stone cold. The next release is just around the corner and this time we bring you the sounds of two bad boys from Malta! None other than Volume A and Bnml. On the ’A’ side a collab, entitled 'Purcinel', and on the ’B’ side a massive stomper by Volume A entitled ’Move Forward’. For the usual 10” vinyl our Maltanese bad boys provide you a digital bonus track called ’Dubji’. The full release is expected in late July – early August. Watch our facebook and instgram sites if you don't want to miss out.
There is one more important piece of information. This time we worked with our two favourite cutting houses Dub Studio and Pressure Mastering. Dub Studio cuts 30 x 10” black vinyl and Pressure Mastering cuts 10 x 10” transparent vinyl.

Letting things slowly clear around us after what many might say was the most mental 5 years I think Deafblind and I would both agree that we burnt bright pretty much from the off and then C-19. 
Its taken Rich and I some time to get back to the land of creativity but I am truly pleased to state - It is back on.

This release from Deafblind is testament to the guys archive. Not only is 'Rich' still writing forward thinking music. He has never stopped consistently delivering high levels only fit for the absolute top shelf.

Today we’re diving into 0079’s latest release, off of the recently established Source Control label, an EP entitled “Bloodstain”. We have the honor of premiering the second track off this EP entitled “Cherry Vanilla”. 

The dark garage infused beat absolutely rolls in the headphones. A punching bassline, some incredibly crisp hi hats, and a small chopped vocal sample really round this one out. We can already see this one getting the people moving out on the dance floor!

The imprint aims to keep the physical format alive and vital, while keeping underground music resolutely for the underground. Frozen Plates has been strongly supported by leading dubstep curator duo Deep Tempo, whilst having been nominated for “Best New Label” honors in 2020. All FZP releases are highly rated and regarded in the global dubstep community, and among vinyl collectors the world over.




Peter Kovacs 又名FrozenDub（凍配音），是一位來自匈牙利東部的專業考古學家，但他更樂意自稱為音樂癮君子。

他認為真正的dubstep從未成為主流音樂，dubstep的核心族群ㄧ直都是地下音樂的死忠派。

他執著於深沉，黑暗，tribal音樂元素，蒐藏ㄧ些些簡樸的黑膠，收集的網路數位音樂更是蔚為可觀。當他開始玩dubstep時，他決定使用真正的地下曲目，並用網路freebies來豐富他的set。在印尼待了一年之後，他調整了放歌風格，並使用tribal及深沉的元素讓他的playlist更豐富多元。

來到台北之後，他與志同道合的bass死忠派交朋友。透過FrozenDub，他的同名部落格，他積累了一批忠實的讀者和聽眾。

Péter Kovács aka FrozenDub 冻配音 is a professional archaeologist and self-avowed music junkie from east Hungary. He is of the opinion that dubstep has never been mainstream, and that the dubstep massive, at its very core, remains firmly underground.

He prefers deep, dark and tribal sounds, and owns a humble vinyl collection as well as a sizable freebie selection. When he started playing dubstep he decided to use real underground tracks, with occasional freebies to round out his sound.

After one year in Indonesia he revised his style and enriched his playlist with tribal and meditative elements. Currently he finds himself in Taipei, making friends with likeminded bass heads. And via FrozenDub, his blog of the same name, he’s amassed a coiterie of faithful readers and listeners.
