The Jungle Echoes

Imagine a scene: Where quite whispers of the wind flow through the leaves they carry within them the essence of my Armenian roots. In the ancestral tung this is called “Hov Ani”.
 In my podcast series "Echoes" this second installment, "Ancestral Echoes" takes you on a fast and hypnotic journey. This time, I ventured beyond my comfort zone with selection of the tracks and playing them with higher bpm than i usually do. Each track is carefully chosen to evoke a sense of nostalgia while propelling listeners forward with invigorating energy. But why? Because that's how it feels to soar on the winds of the Armenian mountains. It's a reminder that in the vast expanse of existence, we are but humble echoes in nature's symphony.

Excited to share this new set, "the lost echoes" with you all, with its little backstory. Last weekend i lost my usb stick and i thought it would be gone forever. Feeling hopeless i started going through my old tracks which led me to finding some hidden gems. Just as i was about to finish the playlist for this set, I got a message from a fellow dj that he found my usb! 

Moral of the story- everything happens for a reason 🤞🏽

We’re excited to launch Rhizome Rhythms, a podcast series that takes you into the heart of Armat—its sound, its story, and its vision. 

The first episode is an introduction to Armat through a mix crafted by Hovani. This set represents the foundation of what we aim to build: a space where music, art, and community intertwine seamlessly. Inspired by my own journey from Armenia to Rotterdam, the podcast reflects the values that shaped Armat—a love for raw, hypnotic sounds and a deep respect for welcoming, nonjudgmental environments.

This mix is deeply personal to me. It’s a reflection of the journey that brought me to this point, weaving together hypnotic rhythms, earthy textures, and vibrant energy.
