Hot on the heels of the first two parts comes part three of HOSH's Stories From Sa Talaia series. The series takes tracks from his recently released album of the same name and releases them on his new fryhide label. 

First up are two collaborations with Pig&Dan. Atlantis Is Not A Fairy Tale, a spine tingling tune with shifting melodies above rolling rubber beats. It's emotive and colourful and sets a nice mood to start off. The second Brotherhood Balearea is deep and elastic, with nice rubber beats and spraying synths bringing some real dynamism to the table. One of those tunes Sven Vath would drop at those special Ibiza after parties. 

Awakening Of The Birds a collaboration with Karmon takes off right there and keeps you in that trance but gets more groovy with its inducing light footed drums, airy hi hats and skyward melodies all zoning you out. Last of all, Meeting Mia Lee is a beautifully melodic track that really moves you and strikes a resonant chord with your heart as the smooth and deep house vibes unfold. Speaking of heart it features the heartbeat of HOSH's unborn daughter.

Once again then, this is another richly rewarding EP from the one and only HOSH.

The excellent Dear Deer Records keeps up its high quality and high frequency release rate with another brilliant EP. This one pulls together Luigi Gori and Larsun Hesh and calls on remixers Chris Di Perri, D-Formation and Nolah to add their own spin on tunes. 

Doubtstar opens things up with some tense, strobe lit tech. The drums drive forwards and bright synths shoot through the track to really make for an all consuming groove. One Week to Escape is more stripped back. It has sci-fi vibes and rubbery drums rolling beneath, all of which take you on a trip to the edges of the cosmos. 

D Formation is first to remix and flips it into a nerve jangling cosmic techno journey with wide open spaces run through with crisp synths and snares. Chris Di Perri’s version of Doubtstar keeps the astro techno vibes alive, with turbulent bass and slick hits all oiling the groovy journey, and Nolah then lays in some trippy neon synth lines to bring an extra edge to the track as you get lost in the hypnotic drums.

After an amazingly successful 2018 an even more exciting year is about to come in our label’s life. We have already signed several A class artists for remixes and originals and stockpiled a great number of EPs from our label artists too.

The first release of 2019 is coming from the label heads Peter & Greg. As a kind of experiment they decided to go a bit further from their usual sound. The result became way more successful than they anticipated, the title track ‘Patex’ was played and supported by Solomun many times in the last few months from Pacha Ibiza to Avalon Hollywood.

The other original ‘Sziget’ is a peak time musical representation of the legendary major festival in Budapest in which the guys summarized their emotions after their set in August.

On remix duties we proudly present an extremely talented duo ’Brigado Crew’ (Diynamic). Their reinterpretation gave a nice twist to the original flow of Patex yet maintaining its peak time vibe.

This release truly represents our belief in quality music and we are sure that it will lighten up many dancefloors all around the world. Listen for yourself, and make your own choice

A rainforest sanctuary. A phenomenon neglected from every atlas.

Colours, shapes, creatures native to the sunburnt bushlands, fill the labyrinth. A truly distinctive display of vibrance. The passageway walls are penetrated by beams of light that set aglow greens and golds, purples and blue hues. Darkness occupies the leafy edge and ominous corners, shrouding the maze in thrill.

The journey takes many forms. The destination unbeknownst to those within the labyrinth, but the destination remains unimportant.

⇸ About 'Labyrinth, Lost In Techno 02' ⇷

Bassic Records’ second instalment of ‘Labyrinth, Lost In Techno’ showcases the definitive and colourful styles of Australian electronic dance music, ever growing in popularity. Influenced heavily by nature and the unique dance events that take place in the great outdoors, the sound takes form as progressive and psychedelic jaunts of techno and house, driven by emotive storytelling.

The 14 track compilation comprises of label stalwarts Doppel, Gabriel Moraes, Ark-E-Tech, Rainbird, TAYA, EEEMUS, John Baptiste, Käse Kochen, Monotreme, Victor Y, and collaborators Nanoplex (UK), Waveback (IT), Mud (IT/DE), Spintribe (RU), Diamandy (SE), Sandokan (IL), Charles Oliver, Biomass, Mecca, Samwise and Yokobus.

Sitting at an average of 125bpm, the compilation reaches a beefy 127 with ‘Spurge’ by Gabriel Moraes and is rounded off with the deep intricate closer, Mud’s ‘Mistakes’ at a neat 113bpm. Exploring an array of unique sub genres, some tracks can be identified as progressive techno, progressive house, psytech, deep techno, others are difficult to categorise into anything.

We call it ‘bush techno’.
