Today on Talking Pictures we catch up with Cathy Lee Crane about her new elegiac essay "Pasolini's Last Words." Ms Crane will present the screening of her film at Cornell Cinema on Wednesday, March 27. But first we chat with Jeffery Ruoff about his documentary "Still Moving: Pilobolus at Forty" about the legendary dance troupe and it's long life-cycle which he will will present on Thursday, March 28 at Cornell Cinema.

Today on Talking Pictures we chat with Chris Sullivan, an animator, performance artist, and filmmaker living in Chicago and teaching at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. 

Fifteen years in the making, his highly acclaimed 2012 animated feature "Consuming Spirits," is a vertiginous mishmash of visual and narrative styles. The film chronicles the lives of three characters who at first appear to be only acquaintances, but as the film unfolds, we find they have a long diabolical history, revolving around alcohol and social service intervention, romance and hatred. Each has family secrets to hide, and some to discover. An auto accident one dark and inebriated night, causes a crack in the memory vault of these intimate strangers. 

From Cornell Cinema –the university's world renown exhibition program – to Cinemapolis -downtown's venerable art house- to Ithaca's growing list of film festivals, there are a lot of local screenings to keep up with.
