Ara-u announces a new electro compilation on his label No Static / Automatic. Titled The Exiled, the album showcases the sound of artists he grew up with in his local scene in Venezuela and also sets out to raise money to support the local community. 

The Exiled brings together a new generation of exiled artists who left the country for economic and political reasons.  The act of working with them on the release also strives to keep them connected and bring a creative sense of joy to their home country. All proceeds from the release will be donated to Santa Cruz De Mara which supports elderly people living in poverty and struggling to survive with accommodation and food.

The EP opens with “Shoot Your Shot” an electro belter that features WakeUpNeos signature skippy drums and vocal chops reminiscent of artists such as Jensen Interceptor, Mutant Joe among other artists working in the electro sphere.

“Coast2Coast” is a more introspective fare with the use of lofty strings and synth patches akin to the best classic techno of the 90’s and beyond. Coast2Coast is perfect for sunrise and twilight hours of the party.

“MetroSports” turns up the bpm and intensity featuring an endlessly groovy acid bassline and a 4/4 techno kick pattern that just won’t quit. The track effortless blends WakeUpNeos hard dance stylings with cyber inspired synth patches, designed for peak time.

Berlin-based label. Burial Soil proudly presents a collaborative electro album initiated by CYRK.
For their album „Freundschaft“ CYRK has collaborated with Steffi, Anthony Rother, Ravn Jonassen, JakoJako, Jensen Interceptor, Alienata, Nite Fleit and David Carretta.
Over the last few years electro has had a massive resurgence.
Since then, a new generation of producers has taken the genre under the microscope, recombining classic tropes and influences in new ways. CYRK is among the list of artists consistently pushing all things electro to new heights with forward thinking, dancefloor shattering and bass-heavy concoctions ready to turn your favorite club dance floor into a sea of spaced-out euphoria.
Early 2020, they decided to reach out to some of their producer friends as well as artists they’ve been admiring for years, to collaborate on tracks. As they see it, the electro scene is a very close-knit community and it felt more than appropriate to support each other this way.
A few emails were sent, a few calls made, and a list of heavy-hitters was assembled to exchange files and jam together remotely or in-person in CYRK’s basement studio: Klakson and Dolly label owner Steffi, Anthony Rother, Burial Soil label buddy Ravn Jonassen, JakoJako, Jensen Interceptor, Alienata, Nite Fleit and French veteran David Carretta.
BPMs are high on the eight tracks of “Freundschaft”, the end result of this collaborative process, incorporating various influences from electro-adjacent styles like italo, EBM or, unsurprisingly, techno.
The beautiful cover art was created by Oliver Sperl.

The F.R.B. Bioscan beacon sounds on Censor’s control system as it orbits the third lost moon: Data Point. A system kernel command is activated, and a full surface sweep for organic life matter is started whilst Alex Jann deploys the Frequent Radio Burst alias to find and recover all AI left from the last bass mining exercise - this EP is a cyborg search and rescue mission.
Luz1e brings the Mechanical Cut remix, delving further into the Bioscan mainframe and restores the title track with a clear, focused reboot bringing order to the program.
