On one side, the retro-futuristic elegance of Commuter, nourished by the first vibrations of electro and a fascination for Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode. On the other, the dark, cinematic world of EKATA, a London resident and explorer of dystopian grooves inspired by science fiction. These two distinct trajectories converge on the split EP signed to Rennes-based label Ethos Records, due out on 27 June.

The project features four tracks, two from each artist, highlighting singular interpretations of electro: Commuter delivers pieces where sharp melodies and impeccable rhythms dialogue with new wave and EBM influences. EKATA, for her part, takes us on an immersive sonic journey, driven by abyssal bass and eerie synths.

H2O is a composer, live artist and DJ. She is the curator and co-founder of Air Ambient, a free annual event dedicated to ambient music. 
During her improvised live performances, she explores a music of contrasts and sensitivity. Her influences include the frenetic layers of ambient, the deconstructed rhythms of break and the hypnotic progressions of techno.

This is a casual collection of tracks created in different corners of the world, fully reflecting my taste and perspective on music. It’s filled with intricate details born from escapism - like collages torn from reality, resembling fragments of strangers’ stories accidentally overheard from passersby.

In this compilation are tracks by artists you won’t find on official charts, but whose sound is unforgettable. Noisy loops, crispy beats, distorted vocals, and cold electronics sound as if transmitted through an encrypted channel. Each composition is like a hidden message understood only by those who know where to look.

No rules, no censorship, no regard for algorithms - just the energy of an underground scene born from chaos and anonymity. I dedicate this collection to those who inspired me to create it - to those who once believed in me, believe now, and never stop believing.

New mysterious heat from the R-Zone vaults!

The R Zone series excels at raw, inventive, off kilter club music from a range of mysterious artists. That fine tradition continues once more here with another four cuts of inventive music that takes cues from techno, IDM, acid and house. 

Lumidei is all wonky drums and out of time hits and is a brilliantly weird cut full of spacious atmospherics. Mynheer is built on a bed of broken beats, knocking hits and metallic textures that all tumble and fall around loosely and invitingly. Dédale d´or then takes you on a trip through the outer edges of the universe with rough hits and drums scraping out a groove as big, bold synth chords add an air of melancholy and finality to proceedings. Things close out with Skagerrak, a perfectly roughhewn drum track that is backed with sensuous synths and lots of cosmic moods. Arresting and compelling, this yet is another unique R Zone release that cannot fail to stand out in any DJ set.

The Orbitants run into galaxy exploring the unknown.

After six years Future Me Label ran by @tha_haterparisi is ready to present a new Various Artist project on vinyl limited pressed in 300 items, thanks to the intense marriage with the Milan electro party ORBITER which inspired the EP concept. A deep collaboration born behind the decks during the last seasons.

Space ambient track from the electro soldier @the-exaltics, explores the parallel worlds with his iconic sound. The electro duo Faceless Mind @asa0asd90i4rfdas straight outta North Europe kicked it with “Viggen Formations”: heavy bassline, highly evocative and hypnotic synth. Follow up the B1. Keep on going with the well-crafted formula @dj_vietnam and Haterparisi. Generated arpeggios by modular square-waves with syncopated beats reminding their techno background tells the experience of an alien abduction. Discover the raw surfaces of the B side which feels both organic and apocalyptic. “Intergalacid” by @umwelt-music, a mix of acid-rave and electro to create some high impact sonic weaponry. Highly recommended for the strongest dancefloor!
