After making waves in the electro scene performing live hardware sets with Obzerv - appearing alongside artists such as Assembler Code, Radioactive Man and Afrodeutsche, Cyphon has released a plethora of music. From cassette compilations to his debut 12'' EP with collaborator Obzerv on vinyl-only label Gunfinger Food.
His music ranges from dark, intense and dance focused anthems such as 'Insidious' featured on International Chromies Vol. 8, to atmospheric and moody listening tracks- like 'Drift' a part of the new 12'' VA EP on Latvian electro label, Blind Allies

Next up we have a synth slayer born and raised in Leipzig. Finding himself among people in the local Techno scene that had a more honest and sincere approach to treating each other caused him to not only grow as a human but also had a massive impact on his musical preferences. 

In 2014, after some years on the dancefloors and a head full of amazing music, he and a friend decided to give it a try and began making some techno on their computers. After he played around with his first synthesizer, he fell completely for the world of electronic music and making music began to be a big part of his everyday life. Since then, He is constantly experimenting with new gear, software and sound processing approaches. 

Last year his approach changed from his usual tangled computer workflow he went to his now tried-and-trusted powerhouse: the Octarack. 
DUSK163 is only his third live set (with his second being last weekend at Cosmic Voyage) but what a stunning performance it is, using the Electribe & Digitone in cohesion with the Octatrack to guide you through a vast amount of soundscapes and rhythms which pay homage to all the different kinds of music and influences he likes to incorporate into his work.

Keep an eye out for this inspirational sample flipping & hardware twisting translator for more of his releases on labels like brokntoys, Yuyay and all of his self-released goodness right after you've checked this bomb live set, naturally.

Bio & TL:

Chris Vocoder born Christian Preissing in the city of Schkeuditz in East Germany before the wall was fallen. First contact of Electro was Kraftwerks „We are the Robots“ in the 2nd grade without any clue what music it is but catched by the first time of the synthetic sound and robot voice.

The wall was fallen and he moved to West Germany and became influenced by the sound of any Electronic Music especially „The Prodigy“, which blew him away.
Dave Clarkes „Electro Boogie 2“ was the beginning to start collecting Electro Records. Fascinated  and reminds to the first contact. Now the baby have name: Electro! 
Mid 90´s to mid 00´s Chris join many Electro, Techno, D´n´B and 2Step Parties and took up the vibe.
The wish to make music came up. And the first music hardware was bought.
Chris processes social, historical, political and technical content. His style is Influenced by darkness of Techno, the groove of D´n´B and the soul of 2step. 

After several years of producing in his project studio Chris came in touch with Supreme.ja and got worth tips & tricks about production and sound design. 
Chris based now in Hamburg.

Arsonist Recorder from Belgium has been releasing and performing music of many different kinds over the past decades. Since 2018 he runs the ZwaarteKracht record label. Past excursions into heavy breakcore and experimental electronica still echo in his music today, his undeniable tendency towards groovy dark-matter electro and abrasive sound-design resurfaces in his most recent productions.
