With our upcoming MGF031 we are more than ready to start the new year which will also mark the 10th anniversary of Musik Gewinnt Freunde and there's no better way to begin this very special moment for our family than to present you this "Various Artists" EP that along with well known members as Cosmic Cowboys and the Mexican Leo Leal will introduce you to three new great additions to the team as the Canadian duo "In2Deep", the Germans Soukie & Windish and last but not least another talented artist coming from Venice as ARG.O to close this stunning pack that perfectly represent the idea behind our label and the sound we love to release in our productions.

Hailing from Montreal, In2Deep touch the listener with their beautiful track "One". Its silky textures and hypnotic sounds introduce this wonderful journey we’re proposing to you on this brand new release.

Next there are Soukie & Windish, the two label heads from URSL, who debut their amazing "Transformation" with Musik Gewinnt Freunde to lead us on a different path that will take us to a darker side, however, still perfectly melting with its deep and breathtaking harmonies.

As our label name says, what we love to do is to bring together people from all over the world through the music. So this is what happened with Cosmic Cowboys from Italy and Leo Leal who has recently joined the family as well. The guys' contribution to this pack was "Citrine", a track that expresses a great new perspective of sound. Nico and Kaled's love for a more epic build featuring several layers of sound completes the sexiness that is essential in Leo's sound – creating something new that we really love.

To sum up this new adventure, we are happy to have ARG.O's amazing track named "Black Vision" which is the right thing for dark winter nights. It'll simply catch you right from the beginning and won't let you down to the very last second.

THE MIX:
This mix is all music that me and my friends made in Detroit during 1999-2006. It's a rainy day when I made this so I wanted to envelope the mix with the warmth of rain. We challenged ourselves to make 100% analog music at that time. It was uninhibited creation as we didn't think one second about release, we were just making music together. That magic is infused in the mix as that is the vibe that glues it together.

Sabo live Katerblau Kiosk 

Here's the recording for my DJ set from July 2nd, 2017 at the Katerblau Kiosk, hands down my favorite place to play music in Berlin.  The whole venue is a wonderland of discovery, the staff is extremely kind and hospitable, and I don't think I've played for a more open minded crowd in all of Europe. Longer sets allows you to take your time and be patient with the music, and the mixing.  The slow building journey I had imagined in my mind, was possible to make a reality, and extra time allowed me to experiment as well. This was probably my favorite gig of my entire 2 month Summer Sol Europe Tour. I hope you enjoy this mix as much as I had creating it in the Kiosk.  Thanks to Mira, Britta, Martin, Claudia, Joyce, David, Brett, Toto, Sylvie, Dorin, any other friends I may have forgotten who were there, and especially to all you lovely dancers who joined me on this ride. Burning Man has always been my favorite place to DJ in the world. There's a certain feeling of freedom I experience playing music on the playa, and this feeling arises from the beauty of the physical surroundings, the enthusiasm of the people who wander onto the dance floor, and my own attitude that shapes how I approach my sets in the desert.

Thank you to the entire Kazbah crew for gifting me a timeslot. Such a beautiful group of people who created a spectacular platform to artists to share music. I hope you enjoy the recording!

When asked by my good friends at Iboga if i wanted to make a compilation aiming at the slower, more downbeat side of the music spectrum, of course I immediately said yes.
So much great downbeat music has emerged over the past 2-3 years, and the scene has been growing rapidly, with many sub-genres seeing the light of day.
My thoughts about the selection of tracks was that they should be deep, moody, trippy, well produced ,and layered with tribalistic rhythm patterns. And a sexy bassline wouldn't hurt either!
So I started to get in contact with friends and some of my favourite producers in the genre, and slowly but surely, a story was starting to unfold...a sonic horizon, filled with music dear to my heart. Enjoy!
