Naoise hails from the south-west coast of Ireland, a location steeped in Irish music and surrounded by a rich natural landscape. Fuaimdhreach is the Irish for soundscapes and Naoise explores the soundscapes that are hidden within the land and sea. Utilizing custom made instruments, field recordings and computer synthesis programs he produces and emulates the sounds he hears from the geography of the land of where he grew up in. His performances are immersive, sensorial and expansive and no two performances are the same. All the instruments and computer sound patches are designed to be completely improvisational and live; creating its own sonic eco system of when it’s performed. It’s experimental in its truest and raw form of real-time sonic art creation.
