In Winter '15, Fuego Punchlines was founded by Peter Gachuki. It started as a Twitter page where I would post dope one or two line lyrics by my favorite artists. I relate with artists with a Christian background the most because their work has lyrical meaning and the production is good. In other word’s, it has "Style and Substance". At the time, I also had created Fuego Punchlines YouTube page which was at an early stage without any features.

In Fall '15, I entered my freshman year of college at UMass Dartmouth to study Bioengineering. Like Yahoo or Reddit, Fuego Punchlines experienced huge growth on a college campus. I was surrounded by a plethora of talented students who could DJ, produce beat’s, design clothes, and speak lyrically. At the same time, I was passionate about Fuego Punchline’s Twitter page which was doing well. With creative all mind’s around me, I revisited my old Fuego Punchlines YouTube channel. Professional production on the video’s were hardships experienced at first but I quickly readjusted to fit my goal. I just happened to know and study near artists, designer's, rapper's, producer's, authors. Feature invites were at this milestone. 

In Fall of '16, Fuego Punchlines YouTube exploded, and the Twitter page was doing well. I got great support from family back home and friends at UMass Dartmouth, my roomates being my first supporters. Again God put me at the right place at the right time. I'd be going about my day not forcing anything and feature opportunities would fall into my hands. I recorded in my fair looking apartment style college dorm. Production got more professional, the setting got better, and I got more confident. That semester of college I had 6 features with DJ's, Producer's, Artists, Rappers, and even a published author. YouTube subscriber numbers skyrocketed to 60+.

Why do I do this? My favorite hip-Hop artist like Lecrae, Andy Mineo, KB have inspiring lyrics. Their music has a Christian background that's led to so much of my personal growth in a lot that I do daily. Music is like a teacher, good judgment, street smart’s, like skill’s, cultural issues, can be all learned through hip-hop/rap. I want the same growth for everyone in their walk of life. Features are scheduled around my class schedule, because I am a student before a host.

Now, Fuego Punchlines continues to do features on YouTube with the talented people at UMass Dartmouth. Feel free to contact me for features, preference is given to Artists, Producers, DJ’s, and Designer’s.
