I wrote this a long time back 2003 I think, this rough version is a bit different than our live version. On this track Jones is on drum but I'm playing all the guitars and bass, plus steel guitar. Mike had a good lead break on the live versions , and doesn't play it like I do (he's better). This song was based on a real cowgirl who always tore it up at our live shows


Track 01 Cowgirl Rough Cuts

First rough cut 2003  - some lyrics and chords were changed latter. Wrote this for my dad, he was a farmer rancher . I overheard a couple of old farmers at a greasy spoon drinking coffee and was talking about Ledbetter field - I have no idea where or what that is. The long spaces on the songs are for Scott to add his fiddle. We played this live over the years and went over pretty good


Track 04 Rough Cut Ledbetter Fields

Rough Cut 2003 - some lyrics were changed, but this was the first round. Song sketch - acoustic guitar and acoustic bass only, jones on drums. No lead guitar etc.. vocals are for meter only - some day I'll hear a great voice sing my songs

Home studio first run sound sketch . no mix or punch in - just track on track for song idea- will move, add, delete, change structure through proTools. No bass guitar and I'm just not the singer type.  All tracks are me just laying down a sketch -

Drum Test III Can't Have Nothing Nice

Whoo, wrote me a song - needs everything -but it's a sound start - need lead, bass, vocals, harmony, and of course a mix. Don't do vocals when you've had the flu - hard to breath. Love to hear a singer with the right tone for this song.  I though the song was original and I hope no one steals my ideas (ASCAP)
